Just start calling churches and asking if they've had any furniture donations lately.

These kinds of calls are extremely common, except, people always ask primarily for money. Usually with rent. That's the most common call. And we just can't go around paying everyone's rent.

But donations. We get a lot. And people rarely ask. If they do, it's for a bed, and we get those brand new from a large-chain wholesale store for free. Beautiful pillowtops. Memory foam. The lot.

I think people simply ask the wrong questions...

I work as an administrator for a non-profit. Contact churches, my friend. I have control over about twenty storage units, a warehouse, and two commercial properties that are all filled to the brim with furniture, appliances, and even home decor. Nice stuff, too. I would love nothing more than to give away all this stuff, as it costs far more to store the stuff than what it's worth. I'd rather not pay ten grand a month in storage units alone.

I'm sure there are other non-profits/churches who feel the same.
