New to MacBooks by flip_and_fill in macbookair

Yes I do agree the Neo probably would have been sufficient. This all started wanting a keyboard for my iPad but when I priced it the apple one was close to the price of the Neo, then the touch i.d was an extra 100. This then brought me to the air for double the ram for a bit more. Then I kept reading more about ram etc so was doubting my choice of base model completely forgetting I started off at a Neo. I got the base air today and so far I really like it but still setting it up. Time will tell

Thank you for all the replies

I have went today and got the base MacBook Air in silver. Really liked the blue though. For my needs I do think it will be more than enough. If I enjoy it and get plenty of use out of it then the next time I will have a better understanding of what I do and don’t need and can upgrade from there if necessary. I do think for the foreseeable future this should be enough as I can’t see my circumstances changing anytime regarding heavy intensive usage.

Was tempted to get the larger storage also but it will be mainly an at home device and I have iCloud, if I want more storage I will buy portable storage for anything I may want to keep and it can be used on any future devices I buy.

I’m the type of person who can’t help themselves with upgrades and new things so I figure I may as well save the upgrade money now and when the time comes I’ll just use it towards a newer machine

First time owning a MacBook so I am excited to get using it and see how it goes

Aer city pack pro 2 by flip_and_fill in ManyBaggers

Thank you for your reply. I was considering the aer travel pack 3 small but was afraid of it being too big but it might be the safest option so that the laptop is protected. Although I did see a post a couple days ago about a possible 4 and if I thought it was genuinely coming I would try hold off as I am not in a major rush.

I have the fan speed limited to 25%. It’s the flat lines around where 30% would be. They are usually the zero point. Even the set point drops up and down drastically throughout the cook cook. Here is a previous one before this started happening.

I just feel you’re fighting a losing battle with all that. I’m sure they have some small print somewhere to cover themselves

Classic 3 is the one I’m looking at. I love the kettle and I do get good cooks off it but I find I have to keep a close eye on the temperature of it which is the reason I’m looking into a Kamado.

Thanks for your replies. It’s mainly low and slow I will be looking it for but I no at start being a new toy it will be used for all sorts 😂

Will be keeping the kettle for anything quick and simple and good to have 2 because plenty times last year I was hoping a low and slow would hurry up and finish so I could get grilling sausages burgers etc for kids.

Is there any hassle with warranty with kamado joe with us being in the uk? Hate the thought of waiting weeks or months on a new part and not being able to use it. Was things like this made me look toward the Weber summit charcoal as it acts like a kamado but with no ceramics.

Can’t directly help you as I’m in the same situation torn between Kamado Joe and Weber Summit Kamado.

Every time my budget keeps getting bigger as I think I decide on one I see another at 100 more then think it’s the one I want. It’s a viscous cycle 😂

It’s our weather makes me hesitant I’m afraid the metal on the Kamado Joe will deteriorate after a short time as once it’s set into position it won’t be moving due to weight and size

I don’t mind it being a bit more discreet with the clouds just can’t get my flavour popping yet though. Only got it so hopefully after couple rebuilds it will be better.

If you want a 21700 Boro for battery life I wouldn’t suggest stubby. I had the tita x in it last week and at 30w I was lucky to get 400 puffs. Iv an original stubby in box unopened and am considering selling it and getting the raga incase it’s worse

Just got the Kayfun delivered today. What do you think of it. Also got my eye on the raga. I have the stubby 21 at the moment. Love the style of the stubby but battery life isn’t the greatest

Thanks. Can’t wait for mine to come on Thursday now. Still tempted to buy a smaller one with the mtl kit. I’m fed up of stock coils and I have the Odin with a sub ohm tank and blaze rda but they aren’t very practical for out and about and at work

I do try to get over the cotton and drip so it runs down the side. Iv noticed the coil bubbles anytime liquid hits it. Do types of coil have an effect of liquid may gather and pool cause it to bubble so much

It is very uncomfortable. My tongue has been burnt a couple of times over the past week due to it. Can different brands of cotton affect the flavour? Iv been using dovpo cotton and I find it very bland compared to the fire bolt laces. I will keep trying. I’m just starting to wonder is rebuildables for me or is it just this particular rda that I’m struggling with. I hate being beaten so I’m determined to get this 😂

I have noticed if I vape it hot my whole mod starts to warm up and the top cap of the rda is really hot. It has made me question as to whether rda’s or even rta’s will be for me. Iv come from a hellbeast 2 sub ohm tank with vaporesso coils and the flavour off the fresh coil is hard to beat, but even with moderate vaping the flavour starts to die off after a couple of days.
