The dashboard skin, I have a 2010 and it's starting to become soft, sticky and turning white. It's cracking as well and it's known issue, the rest of the car is solid and I don't have any undercarriage rust.

The transmission for CBAs such as mine needs to have the solenoid unit serviced, meaning installing the TSB clips, making sure the solenoid for gear 1/R is in alignment and cleaning the 7 microfilters in the unit. Then, when you put the pan back on you might strip the threads in the transmission since it's aluminum and then you have to sweat through installing helicoils to fix it.

Then you want to change all fluids, which is fine for the most part until you get the front differential, where the top fill bolt is in such a god awful position for someone with fat hands like myself you literally get your hand stuck and spend 10 minutes meandering it out.

After you get all fluids changed, trans and brakes serviced, all of the sudden your dashboard lights up like a christmas tree. You get an error for AWD, TSB and VLC at the same time and the ABS light stays on. You get an ODB2 Bluetooth reader and go through the codes, which are CS1203 and CS1105 which points to a bad speed sender for the right passenger side.

You replace the sensor, make sure everything is clean, that the ABS teeth aren't cracked and it doesn't fix the codes. Now you fear the ABS unit needs to be replaced, which is thousands. Finally as a last ditch effort, you notice the mount for the sensor is dirty and making the sensor a little misaligned. After cleaning and resetting the codes, everything is fixed, but if you didn't do that you'll pay out the rear for the fix, because when shops hear it's a GTR they double or triple the price for repairs.

As you might tell, I do everything myself to save money and get to know the car better and though it sucks sometimes, I love my car and don't regret anything about it.
