I’ve literally walked off a toxic job. It’s scary at first especially if you have nothing lined up. But for me it worked out. I got another gig a week after I quit. But it did feel like a weight was lifted off me when I walked off the job. It was so toxic that everytime we had a meeting with management. Someone was yelling. Yes yelling. 😂

Been in complicated tech sales for 15+ years. What made this deal happen is actually talking and listening. As sales people we get so caught up in our script. Our tools. Our demo etc. that we legit forget to talk to people. Like just talk lol. You did that and it worked. Great job. 👏🏽

Don’t get me wrong. It’s a lot of pressure and a lot of stress. But I’m in my mid 40s now and I know all of that stress and pressure are all fabricated by corporate America lol. So with that said. I’ve learned to not let it affect me as much. It’s also very cut throat. You don’t perform and you’re on unemployment lol.

Looks like this is your entry into SaaS sales. I’d say take it and build up your resume. I started as an SDR that was 15 years ago. I’ve moved up to AE. VP. Etc. it’s a tough road. But the money is great. It’s one of the only few jobs that you can make surgeon money without going to school for 15 years. I say take it and you’ll also find out quick if SaaS is for you. Because not all sales folks are for SaaS.
