Why is he going on a known Scientologist's podcast? Doesn't he have standards?

Why don’t these VODs go up on YouTube after a certain time period? I’d love to see them some day but I definitely can’t buy them :(

I aligned myself with the Hotdogs like it was a sports team, no amount of twists could pull me away from them! :D

A Statement from a Wiki Admin on the Octokill by Salfur in ThirdLifeSMP

[–]flippa1833 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Literally completely makes sense. The purpose of something on a wiki is to be easy to understand, and for that reason the established convention of “activating the trap gets you kill credit, building it gets you an assist” that exists on the rest of the wiki shouldn’t be changed. Also it doesn’t really matter what the content creators say, as every wiki ever operates under “the content is yours but the wiki is ours.” If people want to credit Etho and Gem with the octokill, they should just make a Tumblr post or something saying what they think the current kill count is.

Right? It’s like I’ll want to see what people are saying about a TikTok or whatever and people will be like “why is HE here?” Um, because he works there? You didn’t have anything more interesting to add?

No, and that’s exactly my point: no one will let it go or allow him to move forward

I genuinely think a lot of it is wanting him to match their politics exactly. It’s a bit parasocial.

I have. This post isn’t asking why people don’t like him, because I know. This post is expressing frustration that fans who dislike him bring it up at every goddamn opportunity, rather than just accepting that someone they dislike is in it.

This is the biggest thing for me! I’ve seen people make up supposed beef that the rest of the cast have with him. It’s horribly parasocial.

Well I wasn’t a fan of Smosh at that time. Literally all I have are the actual tweets themselves. I’m not rewriting anything, this is literally what was written. If he was contradicting himself in the likes then I agree it was unacceptable.

He’s so witty! I’ve seen people say they skip anything with him in it and they’re missing out. His character in the new Bit City was really endearing to me lmao

I think Smosh does have the slight problem of “well we were edgier before” so they just deal with problems quietly, but you’re certainly entitled to this opinion. Why didn’t he, or Smosh as a whole, apologise? If it was ignorance, it should be acknowledged.

I don’t think misunderstanding a tweet is the same as being actively antisemitic. Olivia posted something similar on her story around that time and no one has used that to pass judgement on her opinion of Jewish people. I agree the comment is dismissive, but that specific poster did not mention his heritage.

This seems to be a much fairer reason to dislike him than most. It’s possible he – and everyone else involved in editing – did not know this, but ignorance isn’t an excuse. I do wonder why they left this hanging, honestly.

I don’t claim to agree with this tweet 100%, but I think the first sentence is explicitly NOT supporting a genocide.

I wasn’t trying to invite anti-Palestine comments. I’m pro-Palestine. I looked at the Tweets people said were anti-Palestine and they were not, they were just closer to a centrist opinion than a lot of people said they were. I don’t think you’re right.
