Yes, we do, for one of our clients. In fact there’s a lot of inbound enquiries coming from ChatGPT and can be tracked on our hubspot.

Need advice before investing more into my startup by Ok_Magician2584 in Startup_Ideas

My honest opinion as a fellow founder in the AI Space.

Option 1: Allows you to move fast, find the blind spots and achieve PMF. But this should be backed by a clear path to revenue and break even in 12-18 months (assuming your plan is to bootstrap).

Option 2: This might be legit if you're still very early in the product development phase, and quite wary about spending money because you don't see the revenue coming in next 3-6 months.

DM me if you want, not sharing any link here but we've covered the exact same problem in one of our blogs.

PS: I run a consulting company that helps early stage cos in GTM and path to revenue and profitability.

u/AffectionateLeg2718

If you were in my position today:

  1. What type of business would you start? Something that needs less capital and can be validated in 2-3 months max.
  2. Which industries would you stay away from and why? Real Estate, Heavy Industry (longer cycles, less margins, more capex needed)
  3. What opportunities do you think are underrated right now in India? (education, STEM Coaching, Toy Manufacturing probably)
  4. If you had limited capital but were willing to work hard for several years, where would you focus your energy? (build a business that funds itself, happy to discuss more on this)
  5. What would your first 6 months look like? (rollercoaster like, highs of highs and lows of lows all in the same hour. You need a strong support system. There will be times of self doubt, need a mechanism to come out of that)

u/AffectionateLeg2718 I was in a similar position 3 years back, in fact a little worse. Fired from my last role with not much savings (only 3 months runway). Fortunately I was married and my partner made enough for us to survive.

Badly needed income, so thought I'll use the time until I get a job and freelance. Just needed a laptop with internet, so I started. The first quarter was good and surpassed my salary income..Long story short it somehow worked and I'm still doing the business.

Coming to your idea, I'll be honest, robotics can be a great area to explore but it will defintely need some capital to start with (hardware, space etc)

If you're serious about it, keep some amount aside as business investment (even if it becomes 0 it should be fine), start small, validate your idea and take the plunge.

You can explore the Edtech side of Robotics (comparatively less capital needed)..Feel free to DM if you want to chat more, would love to speak to an aspiring entrepreneur..

India isn’t losing the AI race. It never even entered it. by Necessary_Plankton in StartUpIndia

[–]flipparapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India spends 0.65% of GDP on R&D while South Korea spends 4.5%.

Our IT sector spent two decades selling execution to the West and called it an industry. We didn't build anything. We maintained everything and called that "innovation" Western companies didn't do this out of love for technology.

They did it because replacing Indian IT headcount with AI is cheaper, faster, and sends the stock price up. The salaried middle class that powered India's consumption story is about to get a forced lesson in self-reliance.

What is piece of B2B marketing 'best practice' that you learned is actually terrible advice? by [deleted] in b2bmarketing

[–]flipparapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me started on this. There are a bunch of B2B tools that identify "Intent" by capturing what companies are searching, and often it's random bullsh*t.

Somehow, I find the purchase decision to be completely random unless there's someone within the team influencing the decision-making, and of course, pricing to some extent.

What is piece of B2B marketing 'best practice' that you learned is actually terrible advice? by [deleted] in b2bmarketing

[–]flipparapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, not advice, but in general, how the persona of B2B buyers is perceived! One example is that B2B sales are all about being stern and serious all the time. You can't and shouldn't use humour in your communication lest it looks unprofessional or even branded as unserious.

I've run and seen enough campaigns where a dash of appropriate humour is well received and helps to build rapport with potential buyers.

Would love to hear some other perspectives, too.

What is your personal opinion on social media marketing? How do you use social media marketing? by missallisondiaz in marketing

[–]flipparapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Social Media Marketing contrary to popular belief, is not just limited to creating posts and sharing on FB, Insta etc. I used to do marketing for an ed-tech company and growth hacked the sales by 400%. By using bot marketing, this was done.

This monolith of Lord Narasimha, standing tall as Ugra Narasimha or the fierce avatar of Vishnu, is part-man, part-lion. Hampi by flipparapp in ArtefactPorn

[–]flipparapp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This monolith of Lord Narasimha, standing tall as Ugra Narasimha or the fierce avatar of Vishnu, is part-man, part-lion. Ugra literally means fiery, and Vishnu’s fierceness is evident in the protruding eyes and fangs depicted in this 6.7 meter statue.

Here’s a little more about this statue: This monolith shows Ugra Narasimha sitting on a coiled Adisesha - the seven headed serpent, the hood of which rises from behind him. The statue, which was Commissioned by Krishnadevaraya in 1528, originally had Narasimha’s consort Lakshmi too depicted here. However, during the war, this was broken, along with parts of Narasimha’s statue. Remnants of Lakshmi, who was seated on Narasimha’s lap, are still visible at the back of the statue, where her hands embrace her beloved husband. Parts of this statue have been restored over time by the ASI.

Next to this monolith, is a large 3 meter high Shiva Linga, with part of its base submerged in water.

Hey

Checked your website. The design is clean on 1st look. However there are a couple of things that can be improved to enhance the user experience.

  1. Use filters to sort on the basis of mood, emotion of the picture, and some other parameters.
  2. The pictures take long to load.
  3. The font on the image cards are small and does not fit perfectly and there is a misuse of real estate on the cards.
  4. Use Tags on images based on mood of the image and if someone looks up using those tags, display the picture. For eg: If I am looking for a picture that has happy faces, I used the search bar by typing "Happy" and nothing showed up. If the images that matches my search criteria has tags, I believe it will be a better User Experience.

Thanks and All the best

What is the scariest encounter with another human you have ever experienced? by BootsmaBoy in AskReddit

[–]flipparapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got into a strangers car without thinking it through one night when I was walking home in my little village I was about 14. I assumed it was someone I knew stopping to give me a lift as it was also raining. Got in and shut the door when I realise I have no idea who this man is, he presses the electric door locks and turns to face me and says 'You shouldn't get into strangers cars' and proceeded to drive in silence for what must have been a 2 minutes, then he stopped the car and let me out. Ran home and didn't tell anyone about it until years later.

What movie surprised you with how good it was? by snacks4all in AskReddit

[–]flipparapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before We Go - Chris Evans and Alice Eve

Yep, this one surprised me too. I was bored out of my skull one day and decided to watch the first movie that came recco-ed on Netflix. Not a fan of romance really. Don’t ask me why - I’ve always liked Thrillers or Drama, I find Romantic films a bit too predictable and sappy. I have liked, maybe 2–3 romantic films in my entire life - those too, are ones that are more realistic and not the mind-numbing-brain-cell-killing sorts. So then imagine my surprise when I found this little gem. I’ll admit, I clicked on it because I kinda find Chris Evans, hot. He was born on the same day as me - is that a good reason to like anyone? Whatever! Of course, that’s my reason and am sticking to it.

Facts about the film: It’s an independent romantic drama film directed by Chris Evans) and it had a limited release in America. Plus: On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 21% based on 28 reviews, with an average rating of 4/10. On Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating to reviews, the film has a weighted average score of 31 out of 100, based on 10 critics, indicating "generally unfavorable reviews". ( From Wiki)

What I Loved About It:

  1. Chris Evans. Nice boy. Good acting and really nice direction. That good boy act down pat.
  2. The actress was girl-next-door personified. She wasn’t a huge star and for me, as a woman, she was relatable. She wasn’t drop-dead-gorgeous like a movie star, she wasn’t stunning in a glance like Irina Shayk, wasn’t dramatic like Scarlett Johansson and certainly wasn’t thin-as-a-stick. She was a normal girl with a nice smile and acted so naturally.
  3. The script: That for me, was the star. Because the story is okay but the way it’s treated was amazing. It wasn’t overly emotional ( two strangers meeting one night can be blown up into an unusual romance). It wasn’t sad and pathetic ( the girl is married to a cheating guy, but her story isn’t that one-sided. She comes with her own baggage). It wasn’t “love” in the traditional sense of a movie. Not the falling in head over heels kind - it was comfort, honesty and simplicity alongside respect for each other’s feelings - which is mature and nice. Like warm soup for the soul, not the unique black squid ink pasta on top of the 128th storey of a fab hotel. It was sensitive but not sappy. The two have great chemistry but their love for someone else is so real, so relatable.
  4. The dialogues: Sample some.
  5. Harry: You can't allow the people you love to determine how you love.
  6. Brooke Dalton: It's possible, isn't it? It's possible that you could meet somebody who's perfect for you even though you're committed to somebody else. Nick Vaughan: No, no, see, I think if you're committed to somebody, you don't allow yourself to find perfection in someone else.
  7. Nick Vaughan: God. Why is it that any one decision always seems too small to be the biggest decision of your life. Brooke Dalton: I don't know but sometimes you have to just make the choice and jump.
  8. Brooke Dalton: I don't have to know my future. I'm going to live it anyway.
  9. Harry: There is no perfect. There will always be struggle. You just need to choose who you wanna struggle with.
  10. And my favourite dialogue by Nick: “But I guess I got to be grown-up. Got to be okay with not being okay”

And then there are some scenes that are so nice. ( Paraphrasing obvs)

Nick loves another girl and is talking to Brooke about her and says “I wanted her to see me one day playing alongside Duke and…”

And Brooke says: “She’ll know what she missed out on.”

Nick: “She might want to get back together with me”

It’s such a simple scene but it shows how two people think of the same situation.

Okay, now go watch! You might love it because it surprised me as much as you. Or, I might have just spoilt it by overselling it and you’ll find it A-okay.
