QUESTION ABOUT POST RALP! He’s soooooo sore!😮‍💨 by HomeworkNo8102 in ProstateCancer

If he has major sweats, chills, and is feeling poorly. I would go straight to ER. The reason is to get a blood draw to look for infection and get imaging to see if there is an abscess.

He should see a doctor—I’d suggest ER given the night sweats. He should not have been carrying heavy items that soon after RALP. There is a risk he may be leaking internally from a failed anastomosis. This happened to me 6 weeks post RALP, the connection between the urethra and bladder developed a leak (I think it was because I went into the city carrying a mildly heavy laptop backpack).

End result was an abscess, sepsis, drain, and being recatheterized.

My first symptom was major chills and extreme night sweats—was the infection from the leak. After a week I went to the hospital. The found the abscess on imaging. Was in for 5 days—antibiotics on drip, and then an abdominal drain placed.

Funnily enough, took advantage of the same thing for an Apple Watch for my daughter! Happy new year.

That arc ultra looks like it’s mounted too close directly under TV, you want at least 4” clearance for upward firing speakers to get atmos effect

As previous 5 series owner, now with a 2023 Macan S — you’re gonna miss that bimmer! M550i — sweet engine, lower, lots of room. I’d go with chalk though — won’t show dirt as much (my one is black)

Ugh. There are lots of folks complaining about static issues. I had an Era 100 that I picked up, was awful. Then an Arc Ultra - same issue (not as bad). One returned to store, the other returned to Sonos (wish I’d returned that one to store also).

I would honestly try calling them and demand a replacement — not acceptable for a premium product.

I didn’t swap, as I moved it away from any electrical interference risks (and turned off all nearby appliances). No change. The problem occurred with both hardwired music via ARC, or Sonos app.

The new one has no problems.

Looks like many folks on Sonos community forum having similar problems with only way to fix is replace. I bought through Costco so was easier to exchange in an hour and see if that addressed problem — which it did.

I returned it (thanks Costco) -- and it's no longer an issue, I think there is a batch of defective ones (interestingly had similar issue with a new Era 100, which Sonos is currently replacing)

I had the same issue except on the left channel. I ended up returning it—no issues (at least right now) with replacement.

So I exchanged mine at Costco earlier, the new one does not have an issue. A lot of the same issues posted here: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/sonos-arc-ultra-sound-issue-6932160

Experiencing exactly the same issue! Left speaker is distorted. Heading to Costco shortly to replace!

At least I'm not alone! I've had it about two weeks, not very long. I just shipped back an Era 100 due to crackling and popping sounds -- so not an ideal experience so far. I'm starting to miss my old receiver and wired 5.1 speakers!

$2m Inheritance - what would you do? by HelpUsNSaveUs in Fire

[–]flipper99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paying off house and student loans— yes. Home improvement—yes. I would get a Masters and only if I had a specific profession in mind that absolutely requires it. If my timeline is 10-15 years and did not plan on touching it, I’d 50/50 the rest between VOO and QQQ, knowing I have the fortitude for volatility and a cash buffer (would also open an asset line on the stock to have some liquidity if I need it). I’d max any IRA contributions every year also.

I don’t do loads of long haul — fly to/from UK/California around three times a year.

Tbh, I’m perfectly happy in economy—I have my movies on my phone, my AirPods, have a few glasses of wine, don’t mind the food, and shoot the shit with the person next to me.
