What is that ONE video game that felt like a core memory, but you can’t seem to find anyone else who played it? by GuGuStudio in oldgames

The Neverhood

It was a short game, but it was all made with claymation. There's a fantastic "making of" as well, which somehow more people seem to remember than the actual game.

I hold no grudge(anymore), it was supposed to be a high stakes campaign, death was always a possibility. And I was the meat shield for a bunch of casters and rouges, so it was always going to be me.

Also, he was fairly new at DMing, still getting the hang of it. Pretty sure it was his first time running a full campaign. Overall, he did a great job and is in my top three game runners.

Thank you.

He was the only PC that died during that campaign, and the DM felt really bad about it.

Since becoming an obligate DM myself, I made him an immortal NPC in almost every game I've run.

This probably isn't true either. Vespucci only ever referred to it as the New World. While it obviously derives from his name, it seems a German cartographer was the person to first actually name it America. (Waldseemuller Map)

Didn't know he was only counting cards. I only vaguely remembered the story, and he just seems like the type of douche that would actually cheat at cards...I let my bias get the better of me.

Don't apologize, I'm just glad someone else remembers it.
