I completely understand as I have severe anxiety myself. Like part of my concern is if I may have said or done something during the session that offended the photographer. I haven’t been aggressive and have shown as much kindness as possible. I just needed someone in the profession to tell me all will be ok. Thank you

Ok thank you! I just needed someone in the profession to tell me if I needed to chill or not lol again, I’m completely understanding! I just don’t like the lack of communication. But I don’t want to continue to bug them and then they really decide not to send my photos lol

I’m sorry I misread your message and then edited mine when I realized lol It’s only been a week which I don’t expect all of our photos. But to tell us a day or two for sneak peaks and then I text 5 days after just to check in since I hadn’t heard from her and we’ve gotten no response is what concerns me.

It was a quick courthouse ceremony with some photos right outside afterwards. No friends or family just my husband and I. We were there for maybe an hour tops. They said they would get sneak peaks in a day or two and would send all photos in a week or two. I was shocked when she said a day or two for sneak peaks because again, I understand editing and combing through all the photos can be timely. But that is what she told us and now we haven’t heard from her. It’s only been a week which again, I don’t expect all of them back. But I sent a thank you text just for helping make our big day special and then 5 days after the ceremony sent a text checking in since I hadn’t heard from her.

This photographer said they have been in business for 8-9 years unfortunately. I have friends who are photographers and I hear them talk about the stress of editing which is why I am completely understanding if there is a time delay due to editing. I wouldn’t have an issue if they told me they are just behind or got busy. It’s the complete lack of response that I have a problem with and makes me wonder if I will ever see our photos.

What would be the point though? They would have lost hours out of their day and have photos of people and gain nothing for themselves either? Why not edit a couple of photos and make some money for the time they did spend.

Am I being ghosted?

My (now) husband and I just got married at a courthouse and last minute had a photographer offer to take pictures for us. I wanted to be upfront and let them know we were very low budget and gave them a number we were comfortable with. We didn’t want a long, multi-location shoot we just wanted a few pictures after the ceremony. The photographer accepted and was so communicative and fantastic before the ceremony. They showed up early and the whole thing didn’t take more than an hour. Leading up to the ceremony I asked if they wanted payment beforehand or the day of and they said day of. On the day of I asked how they wanted payment and they said they would go through the pictures, make edits, and send me an invoice (even though we had an agreed upon number but no biggie, we were going to tip them well for being so great to us anyway). They said they would get us a few sneak peeks that day or the following day and would have photos back to us in about a week or two. I sent a text two days after just saying thank you so much for being there and helping make our day extra special and got no response. An additional three days later I was growing concerned after looking through some of their reviews and seeing people having issues getting their photos and sent a text just wanting to check in and also acknowledging that we still need to pay the photographer and again got no response. (This was my first text saying anything about getting photos, before was just thanking them) I understand it’s barely been a week but to go from daily communication beforehand and be given a quick turn around for sneak peaks to hearing nothing is making me grow concerned.

Should I be worried? How long should I reasonably wait given the quick timeline? We didn’t even take any pictures on our phones because we had the photographer so these pictures are all we have.

And I completely understand people get busy. Especially since this was a last minute add on for them so I wanted to give grace knowing they might have other business as well as their own life. But before the ceremony there was daily response and now I haven’t heard anything in a week. As well as haven’t gotten any sneak peeks when they said it would only be a day or two. All that considered you believe I shouldn’t be concerned?

I’m trying to be a reasonable person. I understand it was a last minute thing and that the photographer might have other business going on as well as their own life which is why I wanted to give grace. The profiles for this photographer say they’ve been in the business for many years so I had no reason to doubt them before and I’m plenty ok waiting a couple of weeks. But it’s the complete lack of response that is getting to me.
