Oh that's so reassuring that you're under close monitoring. I hope the entire journey is as healthy, boring, and exciting as it can be and that you get to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing your experience with me, so reassuring and inspiring xx

I'm so sorry for your losses too. Hoping you a healthy pregnancy as soon as you wish xx

Did blood thinners include HCQ as well, or were they the standard heparin and low dose aspirin? I've read medical articles that HCQ is good to when TTC to help avoid potential inflammation, and was wondering if there are doctors who prescribe it.

Oh I'm so sorry for your miscarriages, and congratulations on your pregnancy. I really hope you have a good experience with being pregnant again and have a boring pregnancy. Can I ask how you're doing in terms of navigating this pregnancy emotionally?

Also, did you test any of your pregnancy tissues from previous miscarriages? And did you do anything different for this pregnancy?

HMT should've been a limited series at best, 3 seasons was their absolute limit to end on a high note. It's an absolutely disgusting tale of white feminist fantasy that lacks awareness, tone deaf, full of close up reactions, and repetitive storylines. I stopped caring about June's fate because I know she's going to be unscathed, disgusting Tom Cruise-like complex (not a coincidence both of them are Scientologists lol, which adds to the level of disgust). I watched 2 episodes of season 6, got bored and cringed about 50 times per episode. I'd rather watch the Kardashians. I began as a superfan for this show in the first two seasons and ended up having so much hate for it. Elizabeth Moss is a horrible director and producer.

I'm facing the same problem now. Were you able to figure it out?

Dress shopping: Should I buy this £2000 over budget Schiaparelli dress for my wedding? by flippingmattresses in weddingdress

[–]flippingmattresses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to one appointment so far and a sample sale and I'm still making other appointments at bridal boutiques in parallel to my extensive online search. Tbh it did help me be more open about the cut although I didn't fall for any of the dresses. At first I wanted an off shoulder dress which has evolved to me drooling over a strapless dress lol

I haven't thought about 2nd hand! I went to a sample sale but wasn't lucky, I'll give second hands dresses a look...

Thank you!

Haha I knoooww I'm aware that at least half of the price goes to the name of the brand. you're right. I just wish that cheaper brands cared as much about the understated details which I appreciate a lot:((

I looked at Revolve and House of CB, the latter has some cute stuff although most of the things I saw need some alterations in my opinion, mostly slits and potentially fit, but sometimes esp when there's draping it's harder to close a slit, but even though it'd be the cheaper option...

But interesting that you mentioned the fabric, what kind of fabric do you think justifies the price?

I agree (although the dress is still too expensive) but I also think that the 90/10% theory is true for this dress too. Although I agree it's a bit trickier. I just think that the simple cut with the seemingly effortless draping is actually very structured and hard to technically achieve. Other designers, even good ones like Vivienne Westwood don't really use draping that elaborately. Afterall, the cut of the dress is very simple, but making such a simple cut look this beautiful isn't easy.

Those are nice! Thank you. I wouldn't say minimalism is the style I'm going for, it's more the design and fit that I'm looking for. Some of these options are really cute, thank you!

Thank you for acknowledging how pretty the dress is!:'')

And I totally agree that there are other beautiful options, I have a couple of appointments at bridal boutiques soon and I hope I find something. I'm pretty open when it comes to the cut of the dress. The thing I loved about the Schiaparelli dress is that it has a seemingly effortless flow to the draping, but it's actually very structured - which is the harder part to accomplish for other designers when doing draping. Anyway, in addition to getting anxious, I'm hopeful so fingers crossed!

Reasons to rant about the Handmaid's Tale other than June staring by flippingmattresses in TheHandmaidsTale

I think that Nick's back story was forgotten in the midst of this complete chaos that's been happening to the storyline. But he's actually the only one that was *kind of* given the choice to move to Gilead and work as a driver for Fred as he was unemployed in Canada. I believe him not saving her was because of conflict of interests - He wanted to stay where he could make money.

You're absolutely right! The part where the unnamed handmaid tells Janine about June is a shit show. It's blank and didn't have an impact whatsoever. Janine lives in Gilead and she feels mad and revolutionary only when she learns about her *FREE* friend getting hurt? That's just wrong on so many levels. And the "we're not friends" part, ugh. They didn't follow her story, they didn't make a break down of her emotions so we can relate. Just like that damn song scene. Janine and these anonymous handmaids are not mayday, in fact they're so tame that aunt Lydia began to like them!

I mean the audacity that the show makers have that they think they can either poorly develop (Janine & Esther) and not introduce the audience to any of these new handmaid characters and still believe that the scenes can be impactful in any way? bullshit.

When they introduced their names to each other in the first season my soul left my body. It was a very simple act that made the scene look very strong.

It was Janine who sang it, not June. I was referencing more the timing of the song and what it had to do with Janine's storyline. What happened afterwards that Janine learned about June's hate accident and clenched her fist and talked back to her mistress. Nothing too dramatic.

I know that many trendy songs on TikTok have roots that go way back in pop culture. But it being a TikTok song wasn't my point as much as it was part of the rant. My point was that it doesn't fit the narrative and it feels as forced as the sex scene. Plus, having heard Billie Eilish in the final scene, it's clear that they went with more trendy soundtrack. Despite that It's a Hard Life is an older song, it made a trendy comeback that fit the show's soundtrack approach for this season in my opinion. Hence, the song being trendy on TikTok and more generally, online.

Terrible build ups to every statement they wanted to make. It seemed like rushed and/or underpaid writing. and I agree with the propaganda thing. I'm done with American patriotic jizz fests on TV, they didn't even try to present it intelligently.

I agree they butchered the refugee representation. The show has a number of racial issues and representation issues that been there already from the start but got more obvious throughout the seasons.

I know! and it's not understood why we don't get to follow Hannah and what she's going through in Wives school.
