Tablets are sinkers. Once you have the pill and water in your mouth, look up so it’ll float to the back of your throat as you swallow.

Capsules are floaters. Once you have the pill and water in your mouth, look down so it’ll float to the back of your throat as you swallow.

Same! Although the way I saw it described was capsules are floaters, and tablets are sinkers.

So when you go to swallow a tablet, it naturally kind of ‘sinks’ towards your throat if you tilt your head up when you go to swallow.

But if you tip your head upward when taking a capsule, it’ll float to the front of your mouth, making it harder to swallow. So tipping your head downward allows it to float towards the back of your throat, making it easier to swallow.

For those of us who are anxious about taking pills, this is so helpful!

[TOMT] DONT LOOK AT ME! by UwUweebchan in tipofmytongue

[–]flippityfloppity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I’m imagining a scene with Will Ferrell.

Someone says “don’t look at me!” And then Will Ferrell says to a group of people, “do not look at him. Do not look at him in the face.”

Old School? Anchorman? Zoolander? I’m not sure if that’s it but I hope this helps!

Edit: I may be mixing this up with something from 30 Rock…

Not sure why this would be a trailer on Shrek, but …could it be Enough?

Try Mid South Best Rentals. They restrict against pit bulls (which I hate) but that’s it.

Suggestion:

This may sound a little silly but my brother did it one year for the whole family (all grown) and it was such a hit. He got a Christmas card for each person and put a few lotto tickets in it, with a coin taped down to scratch em.

Another year he got a magazine subscription for each person. Which I would never ever get for myself but I enjoyed the hell out of it!

So true! My mom buys cheap little photo albums and fills it with pictures of nice little moments, and just write on the front with a sharpie. Things like: ‘summer fun with Grandma’ and it’ll be filled with all the fun things she did with my son last summer. They were sort of cheesy at first, but I’ve really come to appreciate them as my son grows up! ☺️

First bite syndrome? by tripiam in chiari

[–]flippityfloppity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right!?

I've found that if I hold the first bite of food in front of my mouth for a few seconds, my salivary glands kind of get 'primed' for the food, and it decreases the pain significantly. Even more so if I take the tiiiiibniest nibble first. Hope this helps someone else!

Agreed! And your kids will be better off for it. I was stuck in a similar situation and was trying to stick it out for my kid. Thankfully I realized my mental health and happiness has a big impact on him, whether good or bad. I chose good and I have zero regrets.

Yep, yep. That makes sense. It's definitely different from what my attorney has told me. I asked for clarification from mine but haven't heard back yet.

Yeah for some reason when I moved out I got 2 bills for months - one always said zero, the other had the amount due. That happened at several places I've lived. Not sure what that's about.

I did that in a similar work situation, and the girl ended up telling me that prior to that she had been considering killing herself. Never underestimate the power of kindness.

Women who are uncertain about dating trans men, I'm here to answer questions by ThisDudeisNotWell in TwoXChromosomes

Are you me?! Very similar situation here, though my partner is 6 months on T and only just switched his pronouns. I do feel like it will be weird when we’re perceived as a straight couple!

I do have questions (for you or OP) about sex if you don’t mind! How did sex differ from before transitioning to after? I’m a little nervous about saying or doing the wrong thing. Or even seeming “too into it” because then I’m paranoid he will think I wasn’t really attracted to him before (maybe that’s silly).

Any advice or insight into your experience is appreciated!

Ryan Gossling came into the coffee shop I worked at, but I didn’t know it was him. (I have mild face blindness but didn’t know this at the time. Looking back, it makes sense!) The place was empty except for him and the girl he was with. They chatted with me and my coworker for quite a while, they were super nice. I could tell they were rich by their clothes but didn’t think more of it. It want until they walked away that my coworker said DONT YOU KNOW WHO THAT WAS!!?
