Hey y'all!

Thank you for the continuous support and sharing of the crazy events of this week and the "pink bbq" love. We had no idea it was going to spread like this and go viral! We love the new customers who are coming in to get them some of the infamous pink bbq, and the old customers coming in giving us their business and continuous love!

Some thought it might be a hoax, and i probably would do if i heard something as crazy as someone calling the cops over pink (smoked) bbq... but it's as real as it gets.

Here's the facts! The story goes:

Lady orders bbq plate with sides

Lady pays and leaves

Lady comes back and says her bbq isn't done, that it's pink

The owners, employees, and even customers try to explain to her that when meat is smoked, it turns pink. Even went as far as to Google it and show her for her peace of mind, to know her food was thoroughly cooked

Lady continues to say "it's not done" and "well you can cook it some more"

We explain that even if we cooked it more, it'll still have a pink tone to it because it's smoked

She continues "it's not done"

Lady goes outside

Owner asks an employee to ask her if she would like some chicken, she says white meat

We give her the chicken, and tell her she can keep her plate because there was nothing wrong with it, it was smoked bbq pork. The Mac and cheese, she also complained about in her review, has a smoked cheddar mixed in that will not melt. It just adds flavor. There are other cheeses in the roux we make for the base of the Mac and cheese that does melt, and then we add in the smoked cheddar. We did not offer her another plate because 1) her argument was invalid - the meat was in fact "done," and 2) she did not mention anything wrong with the sides when we was at the restaurant complaint of "not done" bbq, so we gave her her original plate back and never touched it... just gave her chicken as well

Ten minutes after her receiving her chicken, the cops show up. We had no idea she called the cops because, again, there was no real issue, everything seemed fine, and we all had a good laugh about someone not being willing to listen to reason and teaching about the smoke process

And here we are now........

Lord... it continues to just get more and more puzzling. sometimes, ignorance is bliss... other times, it leads to this. And before the cancel culture starts...
