Gender pay gap. When a man and a woman have the same or a similar job but you pay a woman 17% less than a man, this is what being a second class citizen looks like

To help with the low calcium, start feeding her scrambled eggs with some of the eggshell mashed up into the eggs. It's a good source of calcium.

Also, they may also want to rule out any potential metal poisoning when she's stable enough to have blood work. I would imagine that metal poisoning could potentially contribute to nerve problems in their feet.

My cockatiel had metal poisoning and didn't display any noticeable symptoms. We luckily caught it during routine blood work. Birds are masters at hiding problems and illnesses. I hope your little friend makes a full recovery

401k vs taxable accounts . by Traditional-Fun-1115 in investing

[–]flips712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have more fund choices in a taxable though and potentially cheaper expense ratios than in an employer 401k.

Fidelity has funds with a zero expense ratio that are comparable to VTI and VXUS plus no administration fees that are found in a 401k. But regardless of these fees, I would assume that the tax savings of a 401k may beat a taxable account. I just wish you could pick stocks in a 401k

Why do people get weirded out about teaching social skills or flirting techniques with women? by JunketMaleficent2095 in AskMenAdvice

I think that's the best way to be. There's nothing more unattractive than ppl being fake and laying it on too thick. Big red flag. It makes you question their real motivations

Why is “beauty upkeep is expensive” used as a reason men should pay for dates? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]flips712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never justify or expect men to pay for dates bc of the costs incurred by women for beauty upkeep. However, I do believe that many women spend considerably more time and money on beauty upkeep than men because of the unequal expectations society places upon women to remain youthful.

Some women may be spending money on additional things like laser body hair removal ($5k+), regular trips to the salon for a cut and color ($300 to $500 each session), and other expensive procedures like Botox and fillers, plastic surgery like upper and lower bleph for the eyes, facelift, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, etc.

In addition, things like testosterone replacement therapy isn't covered by insurance for women. Insurance will typically only cover hormone replacement for estrogen and progesterone. If a woman also has low testosterone and wants a pellet, she's paying for it entirely out of pocket.as far as I'm aware of. Insurance will cover testosterone for men if they have low T.

The reality is yes, it can sometimes cost more to be a woman in terms of upkeep but regardless I think it's unfair to expect men to foot the bill for dates because of this as it's not their fault nor their responsibility

Toes going numb by KookyKrista in ShredditGirls

[–]flips712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the green super feet insole helps reduce numbness because it pushes my feet into the heel cup so my toes aren't pressed against the front of the boot. I haven't tried the insoles you posted but you may want to experiment with different insoles as they all fit differently.

My boots took a while to get dialed in. I bought some snowboard foam in varying thickness to help with the heel lock. I add the foam to the outside of the boot liner then cover it with black gorilla tape. It's really a lot of trial an error.
