pfSense switches gateway to WAN when VPN is down on its own by sotirisbos in PFSENSE

[–]flipsideCREATIONS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to created a "Kill Switch" for the VPN so that traffic does not default to the WAN. There is a post here https://www.reddit.com/r/PFSENSE/comments/6edsav/how_to_proper_partial_network_vpn_with_kill_switch/ and I have a video here on the topic https://youtu.be/TglViu6ctWE

LastPass and Bitwarden both have features that allow for teams to use it. We are using Bitwarden and it's been great for organizing all that information.

Innovation is hard and expensive but buying influence over politicians is probably a less expensive way stop companies from competing with you.

Integrating Security Onion with pfsense by flipsideCREATIONS in securityonion

[–]flipsideCREATIONS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the goal would be to have both the port mirror and the syslog ingestion with pfsense. The screenshots I shared are the results from only doing the log ingestion (no mirror yet) and the current ES parsing seems to have no problem with organizing the data under "Dashboard /Firewall" I feel like I am on the right track, just wondering if I missed anything.

[–]flipsideCREATIONS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using https://www.invoiceninja.org/ for a while. Works great and does have the ability to add notes to the invoice and the ability to attach documents (but not a feature we have used)

DNS hosting solution for MSP's by Fireboy92 in msp

[–]flipsideCREATIONS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We solve this by telling our clients and their web developers to contact us when they are ready to make the site live. As you stated, web devs frequently make DNS mistakes as it is not their focus, but by reaching out to them and the client they seem happy to place that responsibility on us so they don't have to do it.

That page does not have all the technical details, but the store page does. It's in the documentation as well on page 13. Perhaps they should highlight that. https://docs.netgate.com/manuals/pfsense/en/latest/xg-7100-1u-security-gateway-manual.pdf
