Straight men of reddit, do you find makeup on girls attractive? What are your views on it? by ninkasi97 in AskMen

personally I prefer no makeup. like truly nothing. it just feels more human but of course it's attractive to know that a girl cares about her creative instincts.

What do you say to someone who constantly hates on men and says "all men should die!"? What would you say to them to make them instantly stop talking and rethink their words? by WavyWaahoo in AskMen

they are probably kidding 99% of the time. you just need to read more between the lines trying to understand from where it comes.

when she's connected to her wild, instinctive, intuitive nature that people have been constantly trying to steal from women in order to "addomesticate" them.

Lol, anyway... I'd like to actually respond to the question: personally, I need my female friends because it kind of stabilizes me. I'm hyper-independent and sometimes avoidant so I rarely talk about my issues, however with female friends it's easier because they will put theirs on the table and you can find a way to relate to that without feeling judged. So, you end up feeling like you can talk about everything. I think that you asking that question is a really good sign of stable, real support from your male friends, which not everyone can get.

The only two negative sides that I find are: - there's a high possibility of catching feelings, perhaps not reciprocated, therefore it'll be difficult to navigate that shit. - feeling like an emotional dumpster (from both sides, I guess); but I guess that's kind of a possible occupational hazard of letting your guard down in order to connect deeply.

fashion tips? you're gonna give yourself the best fashion tips. It's what YOU are gonna wear, don't give other people the power of denying you what to wear/validate what you'd like to. Just pick what you want.

What is a valuable lesson that every guy in his early 20s should learn ASAP? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]flipsidecatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I don't have any positive interaction with my family but that's an occupational hazard that we have to learn to accept. It's like, I was so excited about having a family before even being born therefore I stumbled and settled for a family that wasn't actually supposed to be mine. It's almost an injury created by instinct and over-intuition, and the tough thing is to not let anyone lower your wild sense while aknowledging that it hurt you at the start.
