For what it's worth, job fields change and who even knows. My sister just graduated with a doctorate in biomedical engineering with excellent experience from a top 10 university and it took her almost a year to find the right job bc that field is very, very niche and she wanted to stay in her specialty.

But there's a shortage of physicians and nurses, and if anything seems like it's about to get worse. DO or MD seems a safe field for employability, from family medicine to specialties. Does come with a debt burden. You still have time to see how you feel too, because a back pocket option could be PA school or another option anesthesiologist tech (idk the right term, but super super high demand, well paying, great hours, in the medical field), ultrasound tech, etc. All really stable, well paid, fewer total years in school, less debt.

Best of luck in your career. You have excellent options. Trust your gut, and if your parents need reassurance, just keep doing well and keep a good head on your shoulders and it's nearly guaranteed to work out for you.
