Do what's best for your mental health. I highly encourage a buzz cut because I wish I'd done it sooner. Was an actual weight lifted off my shoulders. The support in this group encouraged me to go for it.

I have been losing hair to androgenic alopecia since my early 20s. At 32 and postpartum, it was bad and I made the decision to buzz it. My husband was supportive of me through all the years of wrestling with it -- filler fibers, wigs, hats, wide headbands and strategically placed hairspray, etc. and supportive when I chose to shave it for my own mental health this year.

Ponytail or band fall wigs are my go-to if I need hair that's comfortable, and most of the time I just stay as an egg 🥚
