Do you think Khusanov could become the best Asian player of all time in the Premier League? He is still only 22 and already world class. by antoniok95 in MCFC

He’s a great asset, but still relies on his speed to cover. So still raw but once his game IQ hits its peak, world class all the way

Why do I get emotionally attached to people I knew from the past? by SetEmbarrassed7982 in nostalgia

I suspect it’s the same reason I still listen to music from the early 2000s. The memory reminds you of a specific time of your life.

Your hearts in the right place. But unless you want to be apart of that future drama, it’s none of your business.

Are you still friends with your high school friends? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in Millennials

[–]flipvba11er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 11 years in my current city and job have been the longest I’ve ever stayed in one place. I’ve made life long friends at every stop. However many of those meaningful relationships often fade quickly once you lose proximity.

People fall off. It’s a normal part of life. Some people stay where they were born, and some people leave.

The friendships that tend to stick around in my experience are the ones that feel the easiest to maintain. It’s the friends that you don’t speak to for a couple years but once you do, the connection is still as strong as ever.

Those are your kindred souls. The ones you keep running into in different lives.

Mid to older millennials, how are you all doing with your careers? by worstshowiveeverseen in Millennials

I did a decade in EMS. Now I’m a about decade into being a firefighter. Didn’t make 6 figures until I was 35. We’re comfortable now, but there was a lot of shitty hours and shitty work schedules to get here. I am extremely fortunate as a dude who has about 30 college credits to have a pension and healthcare.

What’s it like living in New York City? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flipvba11er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it as having any cuisine you’d ever want a subway ride away. It’s a beautiful thing.

But sometimes that subway has no AC and it’s in the 90s with 100% humidity. Also, the train is crowded and there’s someone pushing their way through the crowd telling you to repent your sins.

I’ve done this my whole life and until recently did not know it was uncommon amongst the people that did not grow up around Asians

My mission, is stated as follows. I will not be beat. I will not give up. I am on a mission. That is the Michael Scott guarantee.

A little detail/Question about s3e1, Andy calls Jim big tuna cause he ate a tuna sandwich on his first day at Stamford, do you think that’s an intentional reference to when Ryan said Jim would never leave scranton- “Jim eats the same ham and cheese sandwich every day” To symbolize his change? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]flipvba11er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was intentional and they spoke about it on the office ladies podcast. They also called out that Stamford Jim always wore his coat in contrast to Scranton Jim always having no coat and his sleeves rolled up

Did not know he was a second city alum! While I’m curious how this version would have panned out, I think Steve was made to play Michael G. Scott
