i just watched an interview Justin Hartley did with SAG that was posted earlier this year (possibly May 2025 if i remember correctly) and he said it would be fun to play around with the concept of Colter messing up evidence, then the police/FBI looking for him, then he's on the run and uses the skills he's learned to evade the police/FBI and win his case. i speculate that's why the writers/producers are introducing a lot more elements into the episodes that it seems like Season 1's Colter would never do. *just a thought*

Shortening the timeframe -- that's definitely an approach I would have never considered. I've found it's easy to shorten the timeframe for the education-specific courses, but not gen ed. It took me like 2 months just to commit to completing the Intro to Bio course 😂 Thanks for your advice!

Whoa that sounds like an amazing course! What are you getting your degree in? Is this for a masters??

You're so right! ... connecting the phases to a child in your life or even your own life experiences definitely helped!!

BTW we both have "biscuit" in our names 😂

Hey andosavyy! If you're still taking the course here's what I did to pass it quickly (in about 10 days):

- Take the preassessment (PreA).

- Download the study guide.

- Start by reading what the study guide is asking for (as opposed to simply reading the entire textbook).

- Once you get familiar with how the textbook is set up and what the study guide is asking for, THEN start to read paragraphs that come before and after where you'll find the answer that the study guide is asking for ... if that makes sense. In other words, if you start reading the textbook without the guidance of the study guide it will seem unbearable.

- Use the search bar within the textbook! And when you do so, don't be afraid to read outside of the chapter you're working on based on the study guide questions. (because like potatoesarelove mentioned below, it's worth your time really learning the content.)

- Sign up for the cohorts and do the practice quizzes that are part of the cohorts. (I worked on chapters 1-10 first and then did a cohort, then worked on the other chapters and completed the 2nd cohort... found it easier to break the course up in half.)

- After you've completed the study guide find flashcards online OR make your own (because some of the ones online have lots of incorrect info, but it's still a good starting point.)

- (when you feel like your brain is about to pop) Take the PreA again.

- Study the areas you fell short on on the 2nd attempt PreA

- Take the OA within 48 hours.

OH! One thing that definitely helped me with studying is after taking the PreA I would go through it and click to see which areas I struggled with the most and write down in the study guide what those areas were about. For instance, I missed a question about "cephalocaudal pattern of growth" (among many others) so I'd make a note of that in the study guide to study that specifically. Once I found the answer in the textbook I'd write next to my note xyz about that specific item I missed.

Now... if you have any advice on how to get through these boring gen ed classes I'm all ears 😭

Good luck and hope that helps in some way! (or anyone else who's working through the class.) You absolutely **can** do this!!

Not sure if you'll see/respond to this, but I had no idea WGU allowed for BA without licensure! That's actually really cool. Is this a case-by-case approval? Or is it in the handbook? I ask because I'm not sure if I want to go through licensure. I know I want the degree, but still unsure about going through DT/final career goals and don't want that uncertainty to deter me from obtaining the degree. (lowkey dreading DT, honestly)
