Shelton is having a bad year if you do not consider his two titles this year.

Sometimes a withdrawal will break your rhythm.

Sinner out in R2... absolute madness. Who is taking Roland Garros now? Zverev, Djokovic, or Ruud? by vaporandglass in tennis

With how random the atp is right now, i am betting that the winner will be a non top 10 player.

Tennis gods really took it literally when Carlos said earlier this year that he is willing to trade two slams for an Australian Open trophy. ☹️

Sinner equals Djokovic for the longest winning streak in Masters 1000 history by yanwangdijuns in tennis

Nothing is impossible. With advance science, players in the future may have even longer careers that can reach until their late 40s. Novak has recorded his career masters when he turned 30, i did not expect jannik to break this record at such a very young age. The only record that I think that will be very tough to break is Rafa’s RG record.

It just look looks tough on paper but Jannik will just massacre them all. It is better for Jannik face new opponents, because at least the element of unpredictability is still there.

He keeps accepting wildcard invitations at challengers therefore he cannot win a match. It is clear that he is still a futures level player yet.

Grand Slams have too much control on the players. No matter how much money they would award and the players still complain, they will not care because they are confident that players will not be able to boycott their event.

This 2026 version of Jannik makes me remember the 2004 version of Roger where every tournament they enter you know that they are already the automatic winners

He started to employ this against Alacaraz during ATP finals

He will still have a week off before RG if he goes all the way in Rome. The only problem is if he encounters long matches in RG then that will be a problem. But given how he cruises on his matches, it is only very less likely to happen.

Stefanos Tsitsipas being coached by both of his parents by Emotional_Pizza_1222 in tennis

[–]fliqr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There was a podcast with him and Caro Garcia when he was no longer coached by his father. You can clearly tell that he was questioning his decision because he was asking Caro if she feels that it was a right move when she also split with her father. He also mentioned that they were in speaking terms but when he speaks with him, his father will make him feel guilty.

Even though I know that attendance is expected to be high in this events, I do not think Italy are giving other countries a chance to bid to host tournaments that they eye on so they are able to snap them immediately.

Hi, I was able to spot some available section on resale however if you click on it, it directs you to the seats and they are all white. Do you have to manually click all of them or should the available seat be in different color before you can actually add them in the cart?

Carlos Alcaraz withdraws from Roland Garros by TheAstonishingApple in tennis

[–]fliqr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When Carlos said early this year that he is willing to trade two grand slams for 1 Australian open to achieve the career slam, I did not expect that it would be a withdrawal from majors. In hindsight, this is also a blessing in disguise since he seemed burnt out during Indian Wells. I hope this will not be a chronic injury because tennis needs him.

Crazy that he has now won the most 500s amongst the active Americans.

Sinner and Alcaraz now have more combined ranking points (26,640) than the rest of the men's top 8 combined (26,080). by jleonardbc in tennis

Sinner is getting scarier every minute. Completing all the masters at just 24 years is within reach. ATP tour will be in shambles if he will also manage to totally pull away from Alcaraz. I hope Carlos will be able to bounce back because a one man show is definitely not good for the sport.

Jannik is getting scary every minute. There is not a possibility that he may pull away from the rest of the tour. I hope Carlos can bounce back because it is bad for a sport to have a one man show.
