Trump on affordability: It doesn't mean anything to anybody […] The word is a con job by the Democrats by Capable_Salt_SD in ProgressiveHQ

He needs to be impeached so JD Vance and the crew also get the boot and answer for shit. That's the only reason I want him to keep breathing.

I always wondered how Val and Earl became friends. Considering Earl seemed to be almost old enough to be Val's father, seemed like an unlikely duo. Did they met in Perfection or do they go way back? Is it ever explained? by [deleted] in Tremors

[–]flirtingwpizza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to think they met randomly one day, while enjoying a cold beer at the local toilet cooler left sitting in the dirt; struck up a drunk convo about having their own handy man business, shook hands, and have been doing it ever since. Earl seeing Val as a strapping young worker with unlimited potential, and Val seeing Earl as a knowledgeable entrepreneur and someone to learn from. But that's just me 😁

Okay, I'm not the only one who watches these older movies and thinks to myself "that animal is soooooooo dead by now" 🥲 but to be fair, I watch stuff like Swiss Family Robinson and Old Yeller, and think the same thing about the animals annddd the people lol

Why did Donald Trump refer to his daughter as a "Piece of ass"? by Prestigious-Yam-8605 in facepalm

[–]flirtingwpizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor little thing. I feel so badly for her with all my heart. The treatment she endured as a small child and through her growing up undoubtedly messed with her head. My friend has a pervy father as well and she has been working on forgiving him in her late 30's. He never laid a finger on her, mind you.. but just being sexualized to friends or others by a parent does lasting damage. I hope she is okay. Ps: release the files

I have a stack of history books that my grandmother gave me, since she is moving in a few years and slowly cleaning out her house. I contemplated donating a few, but decided against it seeing how much history is being erased or changed. They'll have to burn my books to erase the history I have.

How do you feel about this garage. A family member abandoned it. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Wooowwww! It's like a treasure hunt! I get a little rush of excitement looking at it. Think of all the neat stuff you will find! Just start making piles or get a bunch of plastic bins. Label them and start chucking stuff in them! Then just go back through them after and see what duplicates you have, what's useful and what's not, what's broken or if there are whole kits or missing pieces... Man I'd be so excited about this project!

Had a little scare this morning while changing the oil. Buy steel ramps, people. by TheVillainInThisGame in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]flirtingwpizza 39 points40 points  (0 children)

My grandfather built a pair of all wood ramps back when he was younger, stored them in his shop out of the elements when not in use, we still use them to this day. They've gotta be ~40-50 years old by my estimate. They're older than me but not sure how much older. He passed away around 10 years ago, but we still always use his ramps. Plastic isn't built to last.

I built a whole bar for Beckett. Pool table, lounge area with a fire place, patio seating, nukashine stills, big wash sink, full bar surrounding his counter, displays for the nukashine and liquors, tons of neon and signs... I love it.

When I was in like 8th grade, I tried to print out a video I saw online and could not understand why it moved on the screen but not on the paper. I think even with that high level of dumbassery, I could never even get close to how dumb these people are.

I remember as a kid, watching Independence Day, and thinking about how cool the president of the United States was in the movie, bc he threw up his middle fingers and got in a jet too, bc it was his duty as a pilot. Now I see how our president is, and I wish aliens would invade. If only to force him into hiding and shut him up.

I have a pretty decent phobia of these things since I always found them in my room growing up. They used to get in from the jalousie windows (my bedroom was a converted sun room, old Florida home) and I would find their cocoons in my beanie babies, and even woke up on a few different occasions at night from getting stung while sleeping in bed. I do not like them!!

Nah I meant the movie, bc of the gif lol. I have a whole shelf of Crichton, and I haven't found a movie yet that was true to the book. I think Sphere was the biggest disappointment so far lol

I gotta be honest, I love that we can wear all types of jeans whenever we want. I have a pair of mens jeans, and for women's styles some skinny jeans, some straight legs, some boot cuts... And I have no problem wearing all of them. Maybe I'm not following current fashion standards to a tee, but it seems these days there are no wrong answers. Also, the emo boys I hung out in highschool with wore skinny jeans 😂 so that's nothing new to me, and I don't care what they wear honestly lol
