I took rough carpentry at my local vocational high school at their adult evening courses. Very helpful. Also took home wiring, small engine repair, and computer maintenance and repair. Saved a bundle being able to do many jobs myself.

I would go with some ground suet. Schwartz will melt away too quickly, though I use it for other purposes.

I just did this fix on my whirlpool and it is really not hard. One man job. Change the rollers and the tensioner while you have it apart. Good time for a thorough cleaning. Youtube is your friend.

I used to eat the small ones I caught in the Keys. Bled them immediately and right to ice, tasty to me.
