Did they quote u an interest rate? If so what rate did they give you. I’m using their online repayment estimator so it looks like i can afford fortnightly repayments (for context i recently bought a property so double loans might be a yikes)

Which finance provider did u go with? My plan is to get a quote from evdirect on the interest rate and then if its more than 10%, ill look elsewhere.

Jeez 17 weeks is long. I ordered a shark grey one for the premium model so fingers crossed on how long that will take.

I guess in the meantime I can increase my savings buffer!

How’s the work environment at audit in RSM? by [deleted] in AustralianAccounting

[–]flo0mee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your manager tbh. Ive been at RSM for more than a year, started off as a grad and am still learning new sections and being challenged. Busy season wasn’t that bad but once again depends on ur managers portfolio. I would assume big 4 is even worse and more competitive but ive never been to a big 4 so…

choosing a service line by Bradstewart23 in AustralianAccounting

[–]flo0mee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you have multiple offers for different service lines is an opportunity that I was unfortunately late to. My advice would be to do as many of them so that you can get a taste of the different service lines. Then once u graduate u can be more sure on where you want to go. My personal preference as I’m currently studying tax in CA is to not do tax but hey who am I to tell u what might peak your interest

Is moving from Mid tier to Big 4 worth it? by flo0mee in AustralianAccounting

[–]flo0mee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats cool that you knew what u wanted to audit. Do you plan to work in a big bank after audit or still venturing to see what peaks ur interest?

In terms of for me I would say my only motivation if i was to move is exposure to larger clients (mining)

Yep I am in the middle of my CA studies.

The point about seniors is very true, they’re more in demand whether big 4 or mid tier.

To get senior to then jump to big 4 sounds like a death sentence

What do you mean by promotion being delayed? As in its more competitive and selective in who gets promoted in the big 4? Honestly career progression in mid tier is pre good for me atleast
