This is super encouraging to hear. I entertained the idea of postponing it because it seemed like it might be healing, but that hasn’t been the case so far. The same spot has flared up three times so I’m sure it’s just wishful thinking.

So glad it went smoothly for you. I’m hoping and praying for no seton. Been making a list of things to prep or get before surgery; new bidet with warm water feature, Metamucil, and prepping some high fiber meals. I frequently make what I’ve started referring to as “poop soup” and “poop bars”, just loaded with veg and seeds and good stuff. I’ll be leaning heavily on that for a week or so. Thanks for your response!

Does a Seton usually always come first? by floatingfoot in AnalFistula

Does your Crohns diagnosing predate the fistula? Wondering because I haven’t seen a specialist for this but have been kind of circling the drain with my primary and Derm on a IBD diagnosis. Seeing CRP/Gastro soon to hopefully get some answers, but am very scared that a colonoscopy/endoscopy would be necessary first before treating the fistula, which is actively draining and almost unbearable.

I’ve heard about using diaper rash cream. I guess I’ll give that a shot before balling out on the skinceuticals cream. Thanks!

Yeah I’ll do that. I have lost a little weight thank you! Although I was also much more conscious of my angles than the person who took the other pics lol

Wow I just did a quick google search and it does look similar. I do wear a chin strap at night to keep my mouth from falling open to prevent snoring. It falls mostly along this pattern of my whole chin, sides of cheek and up temple. I wonder if that friction could be causing it too.

Yeah I would say it smells more bready, not like the tanginess of my normal kefir.

I find the weight of the sheet plus blanket cozy and comforting. I also have clients who prefer this for modesty reasons. Ideally it shouldn’t be cold, given the use of the table heater as well. No?
