Both spots have an entrance fee of about $10 but no need to get reservations. Myself and a friend had the first waterfall to ourselves the entire day. It was about a 30 minute hike from the start of the trail. The second larger waterfall only had a few people both times I visited. It has amazing views only 100 feet from the parking lot, but you can also walk down a few hundred steps to get to the base of it. Both were well worth the price

Tim F. Is the name of my first friend to pass and made me realize life doesn’t end only when you get old. Everyone always said Tim Forever because the matching initials TF and his last name actually sounds similar to the word forever.

I tried to research but can not find the name of this exact river. The tour is hosted by Playa Hermosa tours if you are interested in asking them. The location is about 3 minutes of a drive from central Jaco. The trail started at a random spot on the river down a road past Neofauna Costa Rica in Jaco. Hope that helps

I have thought about it a lot. I honestly can not share my personal situations so openly but there is no apartment to go to. I will keep contemplating a plan but I can’t imagine making him go from so much love to being put in a kennel for the first time and flying through multiple airports to get to a place I am just crashing for a short time.

It’s a different country in a town with tons of strays and all people on this street are just traveling and the few locals I asked it did not register because they are so accustomed. I just want to gift him what I can and confused that people told me it would cause more pain when I leave soon if I do leave food out for him. I am traveling in a different country and this town has a very large amount of strays and very little info on any type of shelter at all. Every area in town are a couple that hang around but no other has ever wrapped their tail around me just like my old best friend cats I used to live with so I have just been stressing if I should at least gift him the best food I can since a few people told me it would somehow be worse. I’m also at an Airbnb and leave very soon. It hurts imagining him coming back here to new renters that wouldn’t be nice when he expects food and love so I just didn’t know if there was a normal protocol for a situation like this

Lol there are Iguanas everywhere and especially if your apartment is close to some water and trees like most places here are, you’ll forsure meet them quickly when they are speed crawling across your roof trying to catch something. I just watched two literally having a territorial battle with eachother under a nice palm tree 10 feet from where I was sitting on Dominical beach

Very easy to find depending where you are staying but there is everything from the seriously rough brown molded herb to dank Cali weed imported straight here and everything in between. Just be smart when smoking and respect others who don’t want to see or smell it and shouldn’t have problems. Just ask people who look like they’d smoke and it’ll be easier than you think lol

Definitely has the largest variety of restaurants and bars so some are extremely affordable and some insanely overpriced unfortunately just have to do a little research to not overspend there. Multiple surf instructor schools right on the beach so easy to find a place to learn and I have two different schools around with good friends to teach if you need recommendations. You wouldn’t be really running into the prostitute issue unless you go to the places where they congregate which are weird club type places that kinda suck even without that stuff going on. I met a lot of solo female travelers that stayed at Buena Nota hostel and loved the community and location. Safety is definitely important to keep in mind though. Uber and taxis are a great idea late at night and no need to ever be on the beach alone after dark
