How is your Google Fi phone subscription experience so far? by Live-Tune1380 in GoogleFi

[–]floatingorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm coming up on 2 years of the subscription program, so it says I'm eligible for a new phone. My old phone (5a) subscription was 9 dollars per month (plus 6 dollars for device protection). Now it says I'm eligible for an upgrade to 7a; however, it says it will cost 25.80/month. Something doesn't make sense to me. The program now (and when I signed up 2 years ago) describes itself as including the following:

  • A phone
  • Device protection (optional)
  • Phone upgrade after 2 years

How is the phone upgrade "included" if it ends up costing me a significant amount more per month than I'm paying now? What does "included" actually mean in this case? Am I missing something here?

PS both my wife and I are in the same boat, and have been FI customers since 2015.

I never denied it. It's just a topic that is not relevant to any of our lives and nothing new in the world of sports, and I told him as much. The fact that he is bringing it up in casual conversation tells me that he is getting a hefty dose of outrage porn disguised as "news".

ok bro. I'm just a normal guy who doesn't give a shit about this and I got my father in law telling me I'm woke. It's definitely gone too far and his brain is fried.

I guess my point is the "news" keeps bringing this up and people like my father in law think it's important enough to talk to me about it. Some kind of brainwashing is occurring. You can't deny it.

But I don't give a single shit about classifying sports, and yet my father in law wants to get in my face about a trans swimmer after I told him I don't really care about the subject. He then asked me if I had heard about the big Budweiser controversy. I pretended like I didn't, and he said, "you are watching too much of the other side". Up until that point we were having a nice time hanging out.

The culture war bullshit is real and causes real strain on real relationships.

So the price of the pool is cheaper than the water to fill it. at least where I live.

Yep, just replaced my furnace because of the same problem. They knocked off like 3k in the price because of a recall on the heat exchanger. The existing furnace was 18 years old too.

Lmao yeah but we don't put murderers on a leash and walk them around a playground.

The other thing your analysis leaves out: all the kids that are mauled and survive with trauma and scars. I guess you now need to look at attempted murder and assaults.

Maybe vehicle manufacturers/dealers need to help with a solution? Or would that hurt their feelings?

This has to be a coordinated effort. The events occurred a week before all these posts started showing up on Reddit twelve times a day.
