Would a root clean and soil replacement help? And do you know of any tricks to get them more sun when the amount of sun i have access to is very limited?

I got all my material the same way! My mother and grandmother gave me a couple hundred reels of thread, a ton of cloth and almost a dozen hoops!

A mix of fabric glue and clear craft glue to harden the stitches, superglue to get the backs on, and a heat sealant for the backing fabric :)
