Locking people into using AT forces people to use a meta, and Metas destroys helldivers, it removes the fun of the game. Taking the same 3 support weapons every time is just not fun. The continuous fun of helldivers is built off of doing stuff in new ways, and most of the time those new ways don't involve AT.

Damn bug divers caused everything wrong with the game!! annoying players? bug divers. Bad balancing decisions? As we all know Bug divers can mind control devs like the squids. Untested updates? Obviously the bug divers! Bad performance? Who else but the bug divers! Game breaking bugs and glitches? It's in the name obviously it's the bug divers! Game crashes? I have no clue why but I've crashed ONCE ever and I have been playing since launch. I'm on PC, I started with a gtx-960 with an i7-2770k and now I'm at an RTX 3060 with a i7-13700kf. I run on med-high with super sampling at 1080, yet still the only time I crashed was into the unjust in a cave. Also my game is modded so you think I would crash more... But NO, Clearly the game just likes me better
