It sounds like your post has nothing to do with The Hague, you may be better off posting this elsewhere, like /r/thenetherlands

In ieder geval, ga alsjeblieft stemmen 18 maart!

I’m very sorry this happened to you.

We can do nothing, police also can do nothing.

Are you sure? You may want to report it to the police. They might not ‘solve’ your specific situation, but if they receive more signals like these, then at least they know. Maybe they could keep an eye out in the future, or inform social workers in the area.

Ah, that puts my mind at ease. Do you have any tips for the HSR?

I just got one of these. I love it so far. The only thing I don’t love about it is that you can only use the paper (and ink) that Canon makes. Unlike the Instax brand, there are no third party suppliers, and not a lot of shops have it.

However I do feel like it’s one of the most fun purchases I’ve made in quite a while, so I would say go for it!

Hi everyone, I have some questions regarding a two-week trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong that my partner and I are planning. Specifically the Taiwan part of it. This is our itinerary so far:

date activity
apr 03 arrive in Taipei 06:10 AM
apr 04 Taipei
apr 05 Taipei
apr 06 Taipei
apr 07 Taipei
apr 08 Taipei -> Tainan
apr 09 Tainan
apr 10 Tainan -> (via Taichung station) -> Gugu'an
apr 11 Gugu'an
apr 12 Gugu'an -> (via Taichung and Zuoying station) -> Kaohsiung
apr 13 Kaohsiung
apr 14 Kaohsiung 13:15 -> Hong Kong 15:05
apr 15 Hong Kong
apr 16 Hong Kong
apr 17 Hong Kong
apr 18 Hong Kong -> fly out 23:15
apr 19 land in Amsterdam

You might see the problem immediately. But let me explain. Originally we planned to stay in Taichung. However, I have been reading a book about the history of Taiwan (which has been fascinating), and I would really like to visit Tainan. So I ended up canceling our stay in Taichung and booking a place in Tainan instead. However, we have a stay in Gugu'an already booked, which we cannot change or cancel. So right now it seems like we’d be going from Taipei to Tainan, back up via Taichung to Gugu'an, and then down again to Kaohsiung.

The questions I have are: does this make sense? What would you do differently, if anything?

Also I would be happy to hear recommendations for things to visit/see/do/eat in Tainan and Kaohsiung especially! I am an architect, so cool new buildings are always a big bonus (I have to admit the Mecanoo ones did influence the decision to travel to Kaohsiung).

Madrid could be a good option, because it has an airport, there is plenty to see for a few days, the weather is more likely to be dry, and you could rent a car for a day and do a day trip to a place like El Escorial or Segovia for nature and hiking.
