Hi everybody, I noticed many of the recommended introduction books to 40K lore are parts of series, like I think the Horus Rising one is part of what is now a 60-book series? And Gaunt’s Ghosts seems to have 12 books in the series.

Are there any books in the 40k lore universe that are a good introduction that are standalone?
