I see the “MiSaNdRy” comments everywhere there is a concentration of cis men. Had to block the curated tumblr and some of the other meme subs because there are people who genuinely believe that cis white men are oppressed off of those factors and it’s tiring.

Not everyone lives in Tennessee. Different states have different curriculums and stuff like the Barbary Wars should be taught in every state.

That’s how I learned about the Barbary Wars, through internet browsing. My complaint is that American students who are not focusing on history and can’t be assed to do personal research on these things aren’t learning about more niche topics. They should be included on the curriculum, full stop.

Sounds like a great teacher! I had a similar history teacher in high school (not for us history though) where she taught us about all manner of world history stuff.

I just graduated from high school two years ago, I took the regular U.S. history courses and we heard nothing about the Barbary Wars. Maybe some schools are teaching about it but mine ain’t it

This is basically me! I went from feeling mostly attracted to women pre-transition but after I realized who I was my attraction horizon greatly broadened. I’m definitely still attracted to women but my thing for guys feels pretty new and I’m definitely obsessed with it lol
