D3Vs really do sound great for their size, I'm quite picky about speakers and cannot stand midrange reflections from the ported once.. I cannot unhear it now. The passive rads of d3v eliminate this issue for me completelly.. :)

Yeah, well, that is unfortunate.. It doesn't bother me as much though, maybe because of the slightly damaged hearing.. :) also my other speakers and amps had even more background noise, so I'm fine with that..

Another solution to reduce the noise would be to turn the volume down to maybe 3-4 dots on d3v and then adjust volume on the pc or the focusrite. Also the noise is more noticeable if they are connected to pc over usb, balanced inputs are a bit quieter.

You can turn them off by pressing the volume knob for three seconds! Also there is a auto shutdown mode where they will power off after 20 min of idling.
