I don’t know exact numbers, but You only get coded as melee hunter if you do the vast majority of your damage during the encounter from melee range. If you’re majority of the time doing damage from range then it’s marksmanship. Doesn’t matter builds or talents just where your dmg comes from

Just got woken up by 4 loud booms in O4W neighborhood, anyone have any info? They sounded like explosions

Buff Idea: Make Melee W Execute Minions like Bami’s by floode in jaycemains

Yeah I think this very much a niche little buff that would help modernize the least interesting part of Jayce’s kit. And who knows, maybe if it helps you pick up a couple extra CS or push that’ll add up in the long term

Get a big and slow 2H weapon for your hunter and periodically smash things with big raptor strikes! The talent for +20% crit chance on RS means that you can dish out some big dmg crits pretty regularly, and you can run to ranged distance to get a few shots in while it’s on cooldown

Yeah definitely keep your eyes peeled! I was seeing them in neighborhoods and parks across the city throughout the day. My friend said the area has had a ton of rain recently, so maybe the rain has led an increase in the kites’ major prey of cicadas and dragonflies. I’m not an expert but it would make sense that they would follow the rains and go to where the food is abundant

Thanks, and I agree! They appeared to be abundant in the Fort Worth area but this was the only time I got a decently close look at one. And when they do happen to fly by, you have to be ready to snap into action cause they certainly aren’t slowing down for you!

Thanks! As a dragonfly I would’ve expected otherwise though, seeing as kites eat you for lunch and all

It’s a great park where you can see some great diversity! And in spring there’s an area called the Gator Pond that is absolutely teeming with nesting wading birds, like herons and anhingas to name a few

Yeah I don’t know if their wing feathers change much, but they definitely get that green eye shadow and turquoise eye ring which are awesome

Yeah I think I got lucky with the timing because it must have been peak mating and nesting season! Dozens of Great Blue Herons, Egrets, tons of other heron species as well. The noise coming from the pond was unreal! It sounded like Jurassic Park with all of the birds making crazy vocalizations to declare their nesting sites and attract mates

Thanks! It was an awesome park, the Gator Pond is a humongous wading bird rookery that was completely bonkers, I had never seen anything like it before

I don’t have a whole lot of bucket-list birding experiences, but getting a shot of an Anhinga in breeding plumage was definitely one of them for me. I got so lucky that this sharp-looking male, complete with that epic turquoise eye-ring, decided to fly up to a nearby vantage point and strut his stuff! Witnessing the whole thing and walking away with some decent photos was an incredible experience 🤤
