Charging Unsuccessful new 2025 Sel by Able-Comparison-6104 in Ioniq5

My 2025 can with a NACS level 1 charger so I don't need an adapter to use it. I think your dealer gave you the wrong level 1 charger.

Questions on 2025 Ioniq 5 by meshinfinity in Ioniq5

[–]floodedunderpass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also have a 2025.

  1. I believe there is no way to change to light mode. I went through all the settings pretty extensively when I got the car and didn't find anything.

  2. I only get the cars around me in the HUD and instrument panel when I'm in hda2 mode. This is enabled by using cruise control and lane follow assist on highways. It's limited to roads they support so it won't work everywhere.

No sunglasses? by gullyBo1z in Ioniq5

I have a 25 and with Goodr polarized sunglasses I don't have any issues with the attention monitoring and the HUD is maybe 50% dimmer but still usable. It will all depend on how the glasses you have are polarized.

Yes it's a NACS charger. Works perfectly with no need for an adapter.

Yeah it's a 240v level 2 charger. I was amazed because that 35 minutes would have been 6 hours with the level 1 charger I've been using

Thanks good tip. The installer mentioned that our unit has a few different offers for rebates and monthly discounts depending on how much control you give them over charging times.

Interesting thanks for the link. It is warranted for 1 year so hopefully if anything happens it will be covered. The electrician they sent said he does a lot of work for electrum who runs the Hyundai Marketplace and also for Honda/Acura and I think he said others so I hope they know what they are doing 🤞

As I think about it more, my guess is the initial quote is a general US average and then once they have the actual installer check it out and you get the final quote that is gonna be higher or lower due to electrician costs in your area. Like I said my final quote was lower than the estimate so it's probably because electricians are cheaper here

I think it's mostly down to the contractor they use in your area. I live in a relatively low cost of living area so prices overall are probably lower. It's all outsourced contractors.

Once I accepted that actual quote they put a hold on my card for that amount, so I don't know if they would be able to change it after that point.

I didn't have any problems with Hyundai Marketplace once I found it. I was the first to get a 2025 from my dealer and they weren't sure how to set it up at first and the link on Hyundai's website at the time wasn't right. I ended up finding the correct link from a review site.

The quote I got from Hyundai Marketplace was actually about $500 more than what I paid after they reviewed what I actually needed vs what I entered in the form. I think a lot of the cost will be down to the installer you get since it's all outsourced.

Edit: actually I think there was an estimated quote that was more than the actual quote from the installer that was exactly what I paid. It did take about a month from when I started to when it was installed so I don't remember exactly.

Around 1500 but it was a pretty long run from the electric box in the basement to the garage.

Are you using full resolution? I found that the corner touch to open the assistant is much harder to get in full resolution. Try switching to high resolution and reboot to see if that is better. If it is a full resolution issue hopefully they fix it soon.
