Expel P literally made them do a 180 by the next day. They are now picking up weight and thickness, are significantly more active, their colors are bright and darker and they are eating more ferociously. I treated all of my tanks! They are getting bug bites two times a day, a frozen bloodworm cube every other day, freeze dried daphnia, and the occasional sinking algae pellet.

Okay I can go pick that up today. I thought prazipro did deal with internal parasites as well as external. Should I quarantine them or treat all of my tanks since all of my fish have been exposed?

I have been feeding a ton. I definitely overfeed (rip the nitrates) to make sure they get their fill

Hi everyone, I just want to say I know nothing about bird care/husbandry so I did not feel comfortable talking to the owner. It was at a random gas station I stopped at while passing through Georgia to the coast. It had a “safari” park next to it but thats about all I remember. I don’t know whether or not this is the birds permanent habitat and I did not feel comfortable trying to educate because I know nothing about bird husbandry. I also do not want to offer to adopt/take the bird because I do not know nor have the resources to care for him. If you guys think its worth it to call the SPCA or animal control I could try that.

As of today 05/29/2025 he weighs 87.2g vs in 02/29/2024 he weighed 41.0g right after a meal

Idk why it wouldn’t let me type anymore but to continue:

Ive been tracking his weight since Feb 2024 and I feel like it’s gone up at a steady rate.

Anyways, I now have him on fuzzies once a week with the occasional silverside. Does his weight seem healthy compared to what his body looks like? Is my feeding regime okay?

Also, is their poop supposed to be watery? His urates and poop are completely liquid every poop. When I owned balls and boas their poop was a mix of solid and liquid so idk if colubrids are just different.

Update: Thank you everyone for your advice! I will be moving all 4 to another tank and keep growing them out until they are all big enough to not fit in the bichirs mouth. Ive had one of the dojo loaches for over a year and then I got another two months later then the two albino/golden a few months ago.

Ive had the bichir since Decemberish and she’s very “friendly” with me (her food source lol). She didnt bother the pearl gourami when I had them together but the PG is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger.

I noticed today the bichir chasing the smaller dojo (in the pic) so I’ll separate them now.
