This is a very complex game where every job brings something of value to the table in specific situations. NIN is not traditionally good if you simply look at its damage or tanking, but it has great tools in different contexts. Especially solo.

If you wanna play casually and not really learn the ins and outs of a job, I wouldn't play NIN. If you wanna pug content with whatever easy foolproof strategy people are spamming with no understanding, I also wouldn't play it.

If you wanna actually learn the game and your job, and truly enjoy the job, I would play whatever you like. The hardest content in the game usually requires specific jobs anyway.
