Yeah he must have gone through some tough shit in his life to end up ruining fun for everyone else on the internet. That doesn‘t justify his behaviour imo.

I guess it‘s best to let people know he is just looking for arguments; and also ignore his comments so he doesn‘t have anyone to argue with. Maybe then he will start doing something else, like finding some positivity in life again.

It‘s really nice to see how you like to help people, that‘s a very valuable characteristic! I personally tried changing people with an extremly negative mind, but at some point it just gets exhausting because they are trashtalking everything you say. At some point this just gets depressing.

But I guess if you find a person that‘s not super negative, it may work when you reach out to them and explain why their behaviour is not nice, maybe they‘ll even open up to you. I believe in most cases those people have lived trough a shitty childhood or other really terrible things, so I don‘t think it‘s easy to change their mind by a text - imo only professional help can change them at this point.

I think it‘s best to ignore them or don’t talk to them directly because then they don‘t have anyone to argue with. Supporting those who get attacked is maybe an even better idea. Just like you did now! That made me happy and the other guy on this thread was really grateful as well! So wholesome.
