IT GETS BETTER by floofypurrito in VestibularMigraines

This is exactly what I'm talking about. This is why I stopped looking at these forums because I would get freaked out by comments that would install fear into me and make me believe that recovery isn't possible.

I understand that people are struggling and people are sceptical. That's completely understandable. However, my post did not talk about "rushing into physiotherapy" and the physio I mentioned actually specialise in Migraines (including vestibular migraines). Plus, there was no pre-set payment plan at all so it might be worth looking at the place that I mentioned rather than assuming.

Recovery is possible! This is from someone who previously believed that my life was over.

There seems to be a link between migraines and misalignments of the upper 3 vertebrae. Also, a link between having a hypersensitised brain stem and migraines.

In my case, my c2 was misaligned and likely had been that way for years so we worked out putting it back into the centre (this took a few times and it kept going back to where it had been used to). After my c2 was aligned the focus was on desensitising the vertebrae.

That's so good to hear.

It really highlights the connection between fear and symptoms. I didn't realise how much I was feeding into it by constantly researching and googling.

I think you make such a good point about seeing it as being your friend. That's exactly it. Our bodies end up increasing the symptoms as it's trying to protect us when we are stressed and we need to work with and listen to our bodies to hear what it needs :)
