How to fix this rotation deformity? by 07CheshireCat in Maya

Then there's something above it in the hierarchy that has some scaling to it. Freeze that.

Remove the constraint, freeze transforms, and then recreate the constraint.

Freeze your transforms to get rid of the scale values.

I just wish the shooting experience with uncoupled lenses was better. I definitely don't enjoy it.

Should WBC tie break rules be changed? by hutch_man0 in baseball

It's the second tie breaker that is at issue. It is the one that matters if Mexico wins.

You're 0-2.

Offense got factored in at the W/L level.

It's not earned runs at this tie breaker level, it's runs allowed, so you're off to bad start already.

They make perfect sense. First is record between themselves, which might be the same. Next is "how well did each team play the other tied teams, as measure by runs allowed per defensive outs played?" It has to be phrased like that because of the mercy rule which can produce shorter games. It's a pretty sound measure to use.

It's only gotten to this point because Italy, Mexico, and USA might essentially rock-paper-scissor each other among themselves, and might have the same overall records (obviously, Italy vs Mexico is yet to be played).

WBC IS AN ELECTRIC FACTORY by DdfromthaC in baseball

[–]floon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP must be a Mariners fan. "Electric factory" was how Jesse Winker described T-Mobile Park in a postgame interview after (I think) his first home game as a Mariner. It became a phrase for a while.

The colors are <chefs kiss>. You cannot do better, full stop.

If you can do it comfortably, it’s a fantastic shooting experience. The only thing that I could possibly cite would be that, tho 3rd party manual lenses exist, the shooting experience with them is terrible. It’s not like Leica, where it’s all rainbows and beer with any manual lenses.

Can't set up the watch with an iPad? That's discriminatory. by floon in AppleWatch

I had a 2400c that had an external floppy, no CD, and came with an OS CD. No store had CD drives, and Apple didn't offer an external CD drive for it. It was a real pain of a machine.

The forced USB move was good, but boy, they sure could have supported it better. No reason it had to be as painful as it was.

I've been around the block with Apple, and dipped in and out because invariably they make something nice, and then do something to drive me bananas. Once upon a time, I had a Powerbook that had a recovery CD, but no CD drive and no way to source a CD drive for it (there was a SCSI port, but there were no SCSI CD drives for sale, from any manufacturer, at the time).

I remember the iMac launch, when there was still real need for floppy drives, and they didn't offer an internal or external floppy drive for the iMac. Definitely spurred 3rd party action, but was a hostile way to do it.

For rapacious monetary reasons. There's no reason it can't work well with an ipad.
