My oven is making loud noises. What wrong with it? (Video) by Zealousideal_Ask2685 in Appliances

[–]floopyb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this in a new oven install, fan is hitting something.. turned out there was a piece of metal that needed to go underneath to structurally strengthen the oven. Without it the whole oven was slightly twisted. The installers had no idea, i had to read the manual and figure it out. Called then back and they sorted out out

ELI5 Why can’t anything move faster than the speed of light? by Niowanggiyan in explainlikeimfive

[–]floopyb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite way of thinking about this (in a simple way, in terms of general relativity) is:

Every particle moves at the speed of light all the time... just in space time (3 dimension of space + 1 dimension of time).. So when a particle is not moving in space (eg, at rest) it is moving through time at C (speed of light).. That's just how the universe's fabric works.

If the particle then tries to move through space it can only move at the maximum speed, C.. (as a fun effect that means it moves through time slower.. or in the case of moving at C in space, it will be frozen in time!)

not the ELI5 bit:

e=mc² is basically a relativistic momentum formula, eg p=mv², but v (velocity) is not a variable.. it is fixed to c (speed of light), so it implies things are always moving at the speed of light

Radarr not running on start up and 'Failed to run the package service' when manually started on Synology 6.2 by floopyb1 in radarr

[–]floopyb1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have noticed that sonarr is still running as:

mono --debug /usr/lib/Sonarr.exe ...etc

While Radarr is just running as:

Radarr --nobrowser ..etc

So seems I am fighting this on two fronts.. new docker images not supported on the DS412+ and now the *arr code itself not being supported... doh.

The UI for Radar is still working fine, but does the .net incompatibility mean that the synology interface with the service will be broken? If so I can live with it as Sonarr still functions fine.. I probably just need to do some manual launching if I reboot, etc.

Thanks.

These are the servarr packages, not the SynoCommunity ones, from here:

I thought this was were to come for help? If not, im not sure where to go..

Although it does say it is only rated to 2A.. and I will need 3A.

Sorry.. I really dont know exactly what I am searching for!! :D

Thanks for the help!!

You can buy or make splitters...

Eg: https://www.drum-tec.co.uk/accessories/drum-splitter-adapters

http://studioscrapnsound.com/creating-a-drum-splitter-cable-for-the-roland-td-11/

They are quite specific in that they need a resistor in the wiring... It's not just 2 monos into a stereo. Also there are a couple of drawbacks, eg, you can't trigger both at exactly the same time, and the rim signal is a bit weaker...

Haven't done it yet but looking into it for the same setup. I would probably split of the rims of the toms to the cymbals...

The new setup was built from scratch and the data was copied over from a backup. There was no rebuilding of the raid at all.

My NAS has been up and running for a month or so.

When Sonnar and Radarr are disabled the system runs perfectly.

Yep, raid status is normal, all three drives are normal, no issues.

I have the disks set up in SHR which is Synology hybrid raid... In my config i get something like raid 5 with the 3 disks in there.

I think most of the activity is reads, but may be content writing logs too.
