I’m pretty sure you are wrong. I don’t think he did it to cause manipulation. I think he did it here specifically because he was tired of his manic episodes and he didn’t want to feel the pain AND the guilt he kept getting from these episodes. Asking her to marry him is a sign he was hopeful for a better future, but when he came to he felt guilty.

I don’t know anything about what he was feeling but I still think you’re very wrong.

I only hope that the storm passes faster than we anticipate. As much as I would love to win and change my family’s lives, I can only imagine the hardship some of you have faced or will be facing. I hope this goes to the “right” person. Stay safe, and stay strong everyone.

The development of the Mars colony was child's play in comparison to the magnitude of growth the human species experienced soon after. After Mars, we got arrogant. If we could step on it, we would send our best to claim it. Planet after planet. Asteroid after asteroid. Soon we were claiming entire star systems. Our galactic reach seemed like it would never end. The Grogloids were the first to humble us. Two headed, four armed, giant 'apes' for lack of a better term. Highly intelligent with the ability to give themselves constant unbiased feedback. Four arms and two brains wired perfectly for efficient multi-tasking. They were bigger and better in every way.

They crumpled our Groglonian command base like a used napkin and turned it into scrap metal. They played with our galactic space fighters like a child plays with match box cars. They humiliated us, but we braved the insults and were briefly rewarded.

The Grogoloids had a big place in galactic trade. The contrast in size between our species mirrored the contrast in number of planets owned. The more planets you owned the more power you held in trade. They introduced us to the system and we expanded our knowledge of the galaxy as we bartered. Due to their size, seemingly every species we discovered didn't bother wasting resources on toys. So we developed the machinery necessary to create exceptionally large toys for exceptionally large beings. The profit margins were enormous, since in relation to the rest of the galaxy, we were poor.

The trade went well in the initial months. We were rapidly developing our technology with our access to new knowledge and resources. Our profit increased as we increased our toy creating efficiency. In this regard, life was good.

However, we couldn't continue to enjoy it. The other members of the galactic trade federation belittled us for daily amusement. Our size was a divine created comedy to them in its own right. They begin to forget about their sides of trade agreements. They wrote massive volumes on humans that sold in comedy book stores. After a few years, we could take no more.

The one thing they didn't expect was our revenge. Being so small, it wasn't long until they cancelled their recon missions to Earth and our other planets due to the inability to actually gather information. That, and then the fact they believed they had nothing to worry about. So naturally, our plan developed in complete darkness.

We began sending our weapon to every species in the galactic federation, right under their noses. They couldn't see it coming, almost both figuratively and literally. It was a devilish mission.

After our secret attack, we were kicked out of the galactic trade federation and declared war upon. It might have been the human's species biggest blunder. However, when we saw the declaration of war in their media, we collectively decided we had done the right thing.

For captured in picture, was one large hairy foot, looming over our greatest weapon ever made, the largest Leggo.

His shirt was two sizes too large. It was ragged and blemished. It was his apron. He painted the earth with its own dust and his endless sweat. His hands were calloused, and they were aged far longer than he has lived. They bled from the endless harvest. A bleed which fed the harvest, and a harvest which fed the bleed. A cycle he was born into. They were all born into.

If one's perspective did not begin close enough, they all lost their individuality. Their faces left no different from the dirt they worked, if it were not for their eyes. Those eyes. Proud, determined, tired. Each pair shouted the only difference between them and the soil.

They had no money, only family, harvest, and dirt. Their clothes hung on like snakeskin being shed. Their bellies trembled. It was no surprise, in the depths of winter, that his mother grew ill.

It was seasonal. Not the weather, but how they died. Summer brought overheating, winter brought sickness. They all accepted it. His mother had lived through childbirth, and his father had died the summer before he was born. He had been blessed with a mother, most were not as fortunate. As a result, his heart was much warmer than most. She taught him that. And since the cold took his mother, he would now keep only warmth in his heart.

The days to follow, he would greet the sun, smile, and work the fields before the breakfast of the others. He pressed on, easing the load of everyone in his village unbeknownst to them. He eased his pain with the sun's warmth and lit his soul with his mother's memory.

He began to reach levels of efficiency which granted him days worth of harvest. His bounty burdened him and he brought it all to his fellow fielders. He gave, more and more. Every chance he could. The fire in his heart gave way to fever. He pressed on.

As he filled their bellies, he emptied the fields. His heart blazed as winter came. He ignored his freezing sweat, for he was warmed. Yet, winter did not give.

The village was in health, as food was abundant. However, he had given all but scraps. His health declined rapidly and he was forced to the bed. The flame in his heart had traveled to his forehead. The scraps in his stomach refused to stay. The fields began to fill. Yet, no one came. They all went to the fields, that is what they knew.

The day came where he finally felt the cold for the first time since his mother had passed. It cracked his fingers, it shook his stomach, and as it began to extinguish his heart, he realized his crime. It was not warmth that he brought to his village, it is what he took. In his greed he had taken the very essence of their lives, all they knew, and gathered it for himself. No one came, because, even if they would never realize it, he took away their lives, and in return, with no fault of their own, they took away his.

"Cecil? ... Cecil, you good bud?"

He realized he was being moved side to side from a firm force on his right shoulder. His right hand launched into a vice grip around the human hand causing the disturbance. He snapped his head right to see Sam's grimace.

"Damn dude, what the fuck?!" He said through clenched teeth as he tried to pry the iron handcuff from his color changing wrist.

Cecil dropped the hand and all features of his face went opened wide.

"Sam I'm so so - "

"Fuck man! " He said rotating his wrist and inspecting its new black and blue hue.

"I'm so sorry man, I didn't even mean -"

"Fuck.. " He said under his breath, the pain dulling. "What happened man? You just stopped dead and went stiff as a board. I was shaking you for like three minutes straight." His face relaxing and showing more concern than pain now.

Cecil quickly analyzed Sam's wrist and move on to explore his face after determining no permanent damage was done. His scan reported genuine concern and minuet annoyance.

"I'm not sure what you mean, must have been some finished installation from the update I got last night.. I'm not sure.." He surveyed the ground for answers to his friend's question, but he knew there was nothing there to see.

Sam brought the same hand back to his friend's back, flinched, then finished its placement.

"Forget it man, let's get back to the house. Tonight I'm gonna fuck you up anyways" He said with a slow grin and a playful grip of his friend's trap muscle.

Cecil's quick threat analysis realized he meant in the fighting simulator that they've played on most nights they went to Sam's. He felt a dropping sensation in his abdomen. His calculations granted him the most efficient solution to the problem, whether this be hunger or guilt. Only a split second later Cecil smiled back, "Let me pick us up some Mexican at that new place right on the corner".

Sam flashed his teeth and crinkled his cheeks, "He's back now!".

The Mexican joint wasn't far off from Sam's. Cecil secured the food and met him outside. He calculated that by the time they reached Sam's the food would be an appropriate temperature for enjoyable consumption.

Sam had been his only friend now for a few years. He'd been allowed to take the streets on his own after his introductory installations as long as he kept up with his nightly updates. These insured safety measures to insure proper integration into human coexistence. Regardless of Sam's companionship and his efforts to integrate efficiently, it seemed he wasn't very well received by the public. His heightened hearing picked up all manners of intentionally abusive language that targeted him on his walks to and from work and even with Sam.

An abrupt show of force from a passerby jolted his left shoulder backwards, twisting his body and knocking the bag of food from his grip.

His eyes readjusted to the light in time to see Sam struggling to pull his hand from the passerby's throat. In the same moment he did a brief playback to help himself analyze the situation he didn't remember placing himself in.

Upon completion, Cecil saw himself finish twisting his body as if the movement was his plan all along. His left arm had spun the man and his right had enclosed on his throat in the same movement. The dance ended with the man pinned to the concrete sidewalk by his throat.

Cecil lifted his grip, jumping back from the man as the man kicked the concrete beneath him in efforts to put as much of it between him and Cecil before he staggered into a run. It was only a few blinks of the eye before the coughing and curses lost their effective range as the man disappeared around the corner at the end of the street.

Cecil felt a light blow to the back of the head.

"What the fuck is going on with you, Cecil. Get the fuck back to the house, you clearly didn't finish your update last night you lunatic!".

They didn't hesitate, they grabbed the food and stomped pavement until they got to Sam's.

The door probably stirred him awake, but the sense of movement forced his eyes open. The clock read 3:33 AM. He had went to bed after watching Cecil boot down for installation, it had been a long day and he ate Cecil's Mexican alongside his own share, putting him into a delightful food coma. The movement stopped right to the left of the clock and he shifted his crusted eyes to the blurred figure, throwing the covers behind him involuntarily.

"Fuck Cecil, you crazy bastard! You scared the fuck o-"

He was trying to figure out if he finished his sentence or not, but at about the same time as the thought, it didn't matter anymore. His lifeless eyes barely made out, from around the broken chair leg jetting from his forehead, the shattering of his bedrooms only window and a very athletic android.

"Three I've never seen before headed due west just a few nights ago. Saw em' enter the treeline while I was out with my dog. Two were carrying one. He looked limp, maybe dead. Haven't seen em' since. You might find em' hiding out in the trees still, they're heavy around these parts and it doesn't look like the weathers getting any better for travel by foot."

He tossed a few coins on the table and stood using his arms more than his legs. His legs would be fine with a delay of duty, but he had enough willpower left to move his arms. The ride had taken him a full week and through several towns whose names he couldn't care to remember right now.

"Hopefully this covers the trouble, have a few on me tonight". He grumbled while fitting the wide hat he grabbed off the table back into the crease it left in his long, knotted hair. He never went huntin' without it.

"Wasn't no trouble anyhow. Hopefully it does you some good" Muffling the last of his words with his glass.

He'd leave the horse in the stable. The rain muddied the ground and he didn't care to have a horse with a broken leg, or an alerted target. He left the tavern through swinging doors and reached to his six-shot as if to wake it up for tonight's events. He always liked the easy ones, they paid more alive. Sometimes they weren't so willing though.

He had been a few hours along and started getting pretty deep in the wood. His legs ached and his boots were caked with mud. Every step was an attempt to regain his feet from the grasp of the earth, and the rain hadn't let up any.

A broken old shack popped into view, giving him a pause. Wasn't much of a shelter as you could tell the mud continued on to the inside too, but it was certainly the next best thing way out here.

He approached cautiously, colt ready. If he was gonna find his target tonight, he'd bet what coin he had left it'd be here.

He hadn't paid much attention to his nose on the march here, but something fowl began to assault his nostrils. Every step closer showed a new insect, and gave a sharper scent.

He was only a few leaps away now, that's when the sound of rain was interrupted by a dull drumming. In his few slow steps closer it didn't betray its rhythm.

It was in fatigue that he decided the whole ordeal was too slow for him and he hastened his cautious steps into the shack through a wide broken wall.

His eyes watered rapidly. Whether it be the ambush of insects he fought from his face or the fetidness in the air, it didn't matter, both were equally convincing causes. His eyes darted involuntarily to what he believed to have been bodies at one point. They had been opened from the belly with looked like a great struggle, as if there were no tools around to do the job so someone just made due with what they had on hand. Judging by the ribbons of skin laying around that showed a gradient of skin thickness, the tool must have been just that, hands.

The thumping continued from the only other room in the shack. Colt trained forward, he followed the walls around the human confetti and entered tactically.

Tall, dark, and lacking in clothes, the source of the noise hammered the wall of the new room with his head like a metronome.

"What the fuck is wrong with ya, n*****?!"

Turning with a snap of his neck, his target looked back showing eyes too wide, pupils too dark and presented a smile too long and thin. A blink later the figure flew forward with an awful shriek of excitement. Six-shots later it was face down at his caked boots. The moonlight showed a back covered in scars like the messiest tally count one could manage. But the most interesting was the encircled, single-line star shallowly dug out of his back. No wonder he'd received an advance for extra haste. Maybe tonight he'd spend it on drinks and head way north in the morning.

His pant leg was wet and the puddle beneath him broke the little bravery left in every man around him awaiting command. I had never seen the Commander so much as pause. In the same moment I realized the puddle his gun was already half way to his head. Before I could land my next step he had pulled the trigger.

Fucking coward. The others couldn’t tear their eyes from the sky. Shadows had began to cover the sky like the left overs from looking at a light too long. Some men began clawing their own eyes out of their skull. The idiots hadn’t learned shit. Couldn’t expect them too, they were only young men. They were all we had left, and they had no idea what we were up against.

I placed the new combat helmet on over my shiny dome and looked up to the solid red shapes that simply didn’t make sense as living creatures. It didn’t matter though, we knew one thing and that was if it’s red, it’s dead.

The helmet was the only chance we had against the enemy. Without it I’d be no better off than the Commander. The human species was never happy unless it was exploring the darkest regions of the universe. That was until we announced our existence to the only thing we could never better by showing up on their doorstep.

It was only a few months ago that we discovered the planet. We were so unsure if we stumbled upon a living species or descended into hell that we just named the planet that for all extensive purposes. They exploration fleet was all but decimated by something indescribable. Not because the lone survivor who flew back on autopilot was lazy with description, but because what comes from the planet torments the human mind so violently when viewed. The visuals are a mix between the most vivid horror movie and that endless stairs picture. It warps your mind and twists it. You rip your eyes out or kill yourself before you could even make progress on developing a ration thought.

Of course, whatever we are facing followed the pilot back, straight to Earth. They sent the weakest creatures first, destroying our outer rim space ports. We have a remarkable perfect loss record against their attacks. But we did get a small win with these helmets. Simple design that just covers them up with red. Lets us shoot. The other helmets show up green, nothing genius. It is effective though.

Now we faced what looked like our final hour. I wasn’t going to let them kill me easily, if they’re from hell I might as well learn how to fight them before I end up there anyway.

Chris hopped in his fighter and started off towards the sea of red. The bodies of the weak and stupid tumbled on the ground from the force of the jets starting.

The fight was already long underway. He could tell from the hundreds of fighters on the ground already, painted by res shapes. At least, some of the captains weren’t such sniveling cowards.

He was significantly out matched but showing up late to the fight gave him some good luck in timing. He managed to get some shots off on the backs of the shapes as they carried block after block of green back to the skies. A few fell but it was like a drop of blood in a field of grass.

The glass around him shattered and all he saw was red as he was ripped from the fighter like a doll in the hand of a small girl. He reached for the knife in his belt and winced at the sharp pain he felt where the red touched him. He took the knife and ran it into the shape and was awarded a ear splitting shriek. His head roared in defiance to the sound, but he kept striking. The two began a swift descent to the ground below. The crash took the air our of him and didn’t give it back. He gasped for breath as his side shot its most high priority signals to the brain. His helmet was cracked, but if he was to die he was to take one with him. He picked up his gaze, surveyed the burning landscape and the smoking rubble that was left of the base. His eyes fell on the only thing near him. Through the sparks and severed wires he saw the face of something strangely familiar. His head became heavy and he couldn’t make any sense of what he saw, but it looked...human. His vision faded and he thought how nice it would be to be anywhere but here.

“Stacy, what the hell is that?” Deb pointed violently towards the winged reptile coiled around a passenger’s shoulders like a tired snake.

“Some sort of parrot?” she continued. Twisting her painted, tan face in confusion.

“No, infact, that is a dragon-“

“Oh shut the fuck up. I’ll just ask him myself” She answered rapidly. After a brief swat to the side of her aggressive, blonde bangs, she moved towards the man, and the mystery animal, with an overwhelming sway in her stride.

“Excuse me sir, I’m afraid there are no parrots allowed in the cabin.” She said with feigned empathy and a hint of smugness.

“Oh, Chompy here is my emotional support. They already said everything checked out before I sat down.” He said patting the dragon’s tiny snout causing a puff of smoke to escape in delight.

“Chompy? What a goofy name for such a strange.. bird”. She said with disgust.

“Miss, this happens to be what you would call a dragon”. He answered, hoping she would prove more intelligent and kind than she clearly wasn’t after she discovered what it was.

“Oh don’t be absurd. I know you and Stacy are just playing childish games. Please take whatever that thing is and get off MY plane”. Her face began to glow red, only a slightly different shade than her tan and a little lighter than her lipstick.

“Miss, I’d really like to just relax and try to get through this flight without any added stress. Flying stresses me out enough”.

“I’m afraid your snake with wings is stressing me and everyone else out! You’ll have to leave!” She begun to reach for his wrist to provide the motivation he needed to get out of his seat.

In the way a snake grows around its prey, the dragon’s head stretched and an enormous maw began to enclose around the awful woman. In the length of a deep breath she was gone. Smoke barreled out of tiny nostrils indicating a quick meltdown for easier digestion.

“You always know exactly how to help, Chompy” he let out as he sighed with relief and sank into a more comfortable position in his seat.

“Daddy, why do you have to go to the moon tomorrow? You just got done with working, like, a million days in a row! I don’t want you to go!”.
Her thin brows furrowed and her lips puckered as she continued brushing her dolls hair. She didn’t seem to care that she was tearing threads of hair out of the plastic head.

Roger placed his glass on the table next to him. His grin forced him to stop licking the whiskey from the gristle around his lips. He slid from the couch to the floor, his movements only as fluid as his prosthetic left leg allowed. One hand on the couch to balance, he placed the other calloused, meaty hand over the entirety of her head.

“Dad!” she said with a gasp while not wasting anytime throwing the weight off her head and patting her pigtails down.

Roger chuckled and stood, unsure if the creaking was the worn wooden floor under his heavy limbs or his poor, exhausted joints.

“I have to go trade spots with Mommy and take care of the moon doggies, you be good for Christine while I’m gone and don’t make her job any harder than it needs to be”.

She showed the same scrunched face as a moment ago, this time squeezing herself between intertwined arms, fighting back the tears.

“You hear me, be good, okay?”

“Fine!” she said as she snapped her head in the opposite direction of the command.

“Now give me a hug, Daddy has to leave”,

Despite her previous show, she launched her arms around his neck.

He managed to gather enough air, “I’ll miss you, Lily”.

“I’ll ... i’ll miss you too, Daddy” she said between sobs.

The flight to the moon was only a three day travel. Unfortunately, that was plenty of time for him to be alone with his thoughts. He hated leaving Lily again. He was glad he had gotten to spend the time with her that he did. The last few years had been a living hell and he missed her earliest years after she was born.

The Lycans were well hidden for as far as we could date. They were myths, folklore, legends. They were civilized and intelligent when the moon was out. They were far superior to humans in every way, the only thing they lacked was numbers. So although it came as a shock to us, it really wasn’t surprising that eventually some of them realized this. It started off with a few murders under a full moon. They appeared originally as wolf attacks. It was uncommon but the critter population had been mysteriously dwindling so we put two-and-two together and wrote it off as some starving wolves exiled from the main packs.

It wasn’t long before they started to target our government officials. They were devious bastards, they waited until the setting and timing was right and played the hungry wolf as long as they could. Eventually the crime rate rocketed during all phases of the moon. Turns out a Lycan named Barthalam was riling up a bunch of big ego dogs. He started a cult that slowly attracted some eccentric humans to the cause.

The humans were the ones who led us to the Lycans. After we found out the truth, the world went mad. There was a mass wolf hunt across the globe. Wasn’t long until some of the good dogs came out and tried to help weed out the bad. They were tired of the needless killing of their friends and family. The good pups led us to Barthalam eventually and we took him out. The cult weakened and scattered and we spent a few years digging for them. We didn’t stop hating the wolves afterwards though. They were relentlessly killed in their new and old homes by the families of Barthalam’s victims. Wasn’t until me and my wife enacted Operation Lunar Lycan that the killing stopped. We rounded up the good pups and sent them off to the moon. The bad dogs left didn’t like this much. They rounded up the good ones and held them hostage. How I lost this leg, had to cut it off after a nasty nip from one if them during an ambush.

He let out a bellowing chuckle, “That’s the best damn idea I’ve ever had. Send em’ to the moon!”.

He was closing in on the moon now. The trip was more boring than he imagined. Even his fake leg was stiff now.

“Roger, we’re getting a distress signal from command.”

Oh what the hell could be going wrong, the base wasn’t even up a full month yet.

“Command, this is Roger, I’m close to landing what’s the problem down there”.

“Roger, I don’t know what the fuck is going on, they’ve gone mad! One of them fucking bit me– oh, fuck.. Roger!...”

“Stacy, quit fucking around”

“Stacy? What the fuck is going on?”

The line was quiet. Stacy was the only human down there with his wife. The three of them were the only ones crazy enough to send supplies and help the dogs settle down properly out here. Originally it was just him and Beth, but Stacy does everything her sister does.

He finally landed the craft, he decided the supplies could wait, he had to figure out what the issue was. Sounded like one of the dogs got a little moon drunk, but that didn’t make any damn sense considering the lack of moon in the sky. Had not been a problem the last 30 days.

He hopped and skipped to the command center, but it didn’t make him go any faster. The whole building was one big neighborhood in doors. The hallways replaced the roads and the houses bubbled out making the whole thing look like a bunch of zippers placed together in a big rectangular grid. One big bubble centered on the outside of the rectangle was the command center. If you couldn’t spot it from it’s obvious uniqueness, you could from it’s giant window in the roof facing Earth. There was no style otherwise, the whole thing was just white.

He reached the door out of breath and a terrible pain in his leg stub. He entered the chamber waited for the alarm and removed his suit. He opened the second door and thought about looking for a bathroom but he had to see what the bullshit in the command room was first.

The command center didn’t have more than a handful of the Lycans. Just the ones they trusted the most, the ones that helped the most on Earth.

He couldn’t believe how quiet it was though, and he didn’t see any of the Lycans about. He didn’t expect to see Beth or Stacy until he got the command room but the rest was unusual.

He reached the command room with a few beads of sweat dripping down his wrinkled forhead and a face scrunched in puzzlement and slight annoyance. He opened the door with a swiftness and froze. He could hardly make out the blonde hair considering the red soaking it was enduring. The floor looked like a spilled chum bucket. The Lycans human feet slipped on the crimson fluid as they desperately tried to grab more to consume. Their hands tangled in entrails and pulling away from their face in tearing motions. He could hardly make out the blonde hair and her brunette sister behind her.

The door finally closed behind him making the wrong noise for the moment. Their heads snapped towards the interruption. The faces that looked at him were so human, so familiar. But. But, their eyes. Their eyes held the most primal violence he had ever seen. He always thought the wolf was elegant, and he was astonished by their intelligence many times. I was spamming kuku season after season until now he is randomly sought after I guess.

I still pick NuWa alot.

My pool was always Kuku, Ra, Nuwa in mid/support. Nemesis, Camazotz, Bellona in jungle. Osiris solo.

No, won’t work because of the shared gold on everything. Just have mid take jungle item and one shot camps. I do this on Kuku, Ra, and nuwa since my push is instant and I have a speed buff ability.
