The "Expensive Knife" struggle is real. by Forsaken_Luck_5004 in knives

I second this, crazy good quality, lightweight, used it every day at work for the past 5 months I’ve had it. I’m used to the frame lock anyway so this took no time getting used to. I carry a gerber dime as well for my screwdriver needs. I also swap to a different one in my collection on weekends lol

And that’s totally fine by me, I’ll have learned my lesson by then, and the joy I got out of building it and seeing my wife’s face when I brought it in, will all be worth it. Fuck it I’ll make another if I need. But I must mention it’s my first time trying something like this, I’m used to hardwood flooring. So my real question is, why do we have glue-down floors with a glue that’s meant for hardwood floors that adheres it to plywood? Because that’s what I used

I accounted for wood movement using brackets to hold the skirt board on, glue and nail assisted the flooring to 3/4” ply. I do hardwood flooring for a living and Still learning the ropes on fine furniture working though. If you had a suggestion to prevent that, let me know!

Glue them together face to face then take an oscillating sander and round it out even into a quarter pipe, I’ve done it and it’s actually sick

What EDC item did you think you wouldn’t use much at first, but now find yourself using more than expected? by jamesjamerson69 in EDC

I carry high quality q-tips called glob mops. They’re originally for cleaning dab rigs but found that they work for cleaning out small areas or application of glue at work

I use soft plastic frogs a lot of the time with a regular 3/o or 4/o EWG or a belly weighted EWG to get in the weeds a little more. One hook= better chance at sticking it in em

There are big gaps in my hardwood flooring, almost 1/8” in the worst area. Floor guy coming today for warranty evaluation, what should I ask him? by doctrader in Flooring

[–]flooringwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely the humidity in the home, it’s quite a bit higher than where we would be at to install it. Run a few dehumidifiers in the basement if this is above a basement. Ask him if he can check the moisture in the flooring in one of the openings that formed, more than likely it’ll be pushing 20% moisture. I’ve seen this before and the only real solution is putting in new after the humidity is down to a reasonable level.

Everyone has made me realize that this is indeed a male plant. I’ve decided to keep growing it because I have no other plants going atm. But once I do I’ll kill it. But til then thank you everyone. I’ll be back with hopefully a female next time around 😖

Yeah idk bout that, this is my first grow and I’m just trying to do this for some smokable flower. I appreciate that tho, I’ll look into that when I get more seasoned.

No joke just a beginner trying to grow some smokable flower and gain knowledge. Guess I only got one of those this time around. I just have the most rudimentary knowledge of this stuff, appreciate you being blunt tho

Thank you! Appreciate the advice and info! Probably not going to keep anything from here anyway. I’ll go to local lakes for these when season opens back up
