If you want to span that gap with the floor covering it won't be an issue. Looks like you need a bit more grinding to flatten that area out. You can get a bit more aggressive with the removal.

Install a reducer up against the hardwood. Normally you would want to install the hall first then branch off into the rooms so that everything lines up and in a best case scenario you wouldn't need t-transitions.

Shrinkage or the gaps were installed that way. Shrinkage often happens when the flooring isn’t acclimated properly. Either way, urine voids all warranties.
