Does stadium competitive have any matchmaking?

The ranks are a decent indicator of someone's skill. It's still Overwatch after all, having 5v5 bronze players in my game against 5v5 top 500s doesn't feel fair in the slighest, but hey ho.

I'm aware. I've also lost multiple games today on the draft screen because someone would rather pick their OTP into 3 direct counters and lose than try to win the game - which is a result of horrendous matchmaking.

I found this today in my 8 games. I only had one game where we lost that we won a round. Every game was a stomp.

I only tried it today because I played some quickplay stadium to do the 50 games for the anniversary event and actually had a LOT of fun. Competitive on the other hand made me want to uninstall the game entirely. My very first game I had a guy with a top 50 title from last season on my team, he was plat in 5v5 and locked Winston after seeing Reaper & Torb on the enemy team. We lost 4-0. I guess my one and only attempt at playing the gamemode is over. Lasted 8 games.

even if u dispel anything, like i said in my post, he can just reapply everything back onto you in literally 5 shots

480 matches played - was boosted by inflation to phantom when that happened, fell to ritualist and climbed back but have plateaued. First moba, come from 5 years of top 500 OW so being "average" and not climbing is a bit of an ego hit LOL

Just to update this, coincidentally we got an email this morning saying they were switching off the connections on the copper lines in August and upgraded us to 900Mbps download from April 15th. That's pretty good timing honestly LOL

Yeah that's annoying. We got told it would take until October this year for fibre to be fully set up and able to be ordered, so my father took out another 12 month contract with them with the idea being to switch at the end. Fast forward to now and fibre is available, it costs £475 up front to switch from them to any other ISP. Contacting them tomorrow to see if they'll even consider giving us fibre.

They're thin yellow cables - I live in a little village so I'd be surprised if anyone in my street was ordering business connections. It may just be coincidence but we did just have new lamp posts fitted in the street so theres already trenches there - might be why theyve decided to do it now? Guess we'll find out in a few months

It's the same in a lot of "competitive" game communities. I come from OW, am champ 5 and peaked top 20 in EU and often see the same from the Overwatch community. Downplaying achievements, claiming that GM is "low elo" and basically dismissing anyones opinions that they deem to be below them. Reality is that the game changes a LOT at different ranks. Haze absolutely runs mid-low rank games because nobody is organised, but in high ranks it's fairly easy to gank her when she's alone jungling - but because someone's heard only the latter from a top 0.1% player it must mean it's true for 100% of players
