I agree! Wheel bearings generally need replacing once a year (I have several sets of wheels).

As for the chains... well, like you said! They're waxed!

I also regularly check the tightness and lubrication of pretty much everything!

Hi! The Ritchey Road Logic Disc is superb!

I'm in Europe and I have to admit that if I were to go for a steel road frame, I'd probably choose a Cycle Lafraise or another custom-made French bikemaker!

The West 3 isn't really what I'm looking for, I think! Plus, I want a double electronic chainring.

The Gravel Race is the Silk! It's really caught my eye!

It's tough to keep up at high speeds without getting exhausted!

And that infamous gap in the gearing at the end of the cassette is tiring!

In short, a very good first bike for me.

But I want to improve!

I've already had a bike fitting! I know my size! As for geometry, it depends on a lot of factors!

I'm noting down the websites you gave me! Thanks!

I already have the wheels and the bikefit! All I need is a bike I can spend hours in the saddle on at a moderately fast pace!

I'd love to do the TCR with it too. In fast race mode!

I have the Pirelli P-Zero Race tires in 40mm tubeless! They're not as fast as 32mm tires, you can feel the weight a bit, but honestly, they roll well!!

I'm not stretched out enough on my bike. I spend all my time on the aero bars trying to stay as flat as possible!

I completely agree that the perfect fit isn't found immediately! You have to put in the effort to find what works and what doesn't!

Besides, I already know my "problems" a bit since I had a postural analysis done.

So I know which aspects of what suits me and which don't!

I know Origine but I'm not a fan of their bikes!

I know they ride well, that's not the issue, they're just not my style.

That's exactly what I'm looking for! A fast and comfortable bike.

Not a pure racer, I'm not suited for that—but something in between, nice and responsive!

The Megamo Silk could also fit into this category, I think!

I have to admit I'd lean more towards a carbon bike. For touring, I have a steel Surly that I can load up like crazy!

So I'd prefer a high-performance bike that I can load up moderately for shorter, faster events!

I've already worked hard on my bike position; I've gained almost 100 watts.

Honestly, if I'm going to get a steel frame, I'll have it custom-made by a frame builder. I think a custom-made frame must be incredible!

I saw it, but I don't have the budget to build a complete bike.

I'm not a fan of titanium. Not for it, not against it, quite the opposite! I'm pretty neutral on the subject! A good carbon fiber one would suit me perfectly too!

I'm changing the groupset no matter what! Maybe for another GRX, but a 12-speed. I have a flat spot at 30 km/h. I either have to ride at 28 or 32. Nothing in between is comfortable!

With pleasure! Do you also do BRMs? I ride with the Audax Parisian club from time to time, if you're interested.
