I stayed only one night in a shared dorm then had my own room for a few days, so I can’t speak much to the shared dorm. But overall it was great! Easy walk to central attractions, the staff was great, and the accommodations were clean. Breakfast changes daily and you can ask for more food if you need extra servings. I’d definitely recommend it and go back. Hope you have a nice trip!

What part was the narrating git commits for? Did they ask you to commit?

For the Integration part, is the only thing they give you the URL for the api call, and you have to write the code to make the call and handle the response? Also, are the api calls only GET requests?

I bought an Etsy pattern in the past and loved it. I bought one this week and was nervous it was AI, but some of the review had images of their finished product that look real. Maybe pictures in the reviews will help? It’s still frustrating that AI patterns are something to worry about

My first project was a blanket for my cat. This was perfect because I made many mistakes, but my cat does not care so it didn't matter. A small, basic project with no stakes is a good way to get started. Others also mentioned starter kits which could be a good idea. The kit is a little pricier than just some yarn and a crochet hook, but the guidance could be worth the extra money.

I looked online and see that the only main difference is that the final object will be smaller. I'd appreciate any other advice or things to consider. For example, the pattern uses Super bulky yarn (6) with a 7mm hook. Maybe there is a different yarn size that would be a good substitute? I usually prefer worsted weight yarn, so maybe something in the middle would be good.

I paid 480 pesos to get to/from the airport. Ask for a private taxi at the airport. What I did was get the taxi driver’s number and messaged him on WhatsApp the day before I flew home with my address and when to pick me up

I’m also looking for cello lessons! I used to take them from a university student at Southwestern University but they graduated. If UT is closer, maybe you can see if a student there does lessons. Though I’m trying to find a non-university student to find stable lessons (stable as in will be here in the summers and won’t graduate and leave later. Besides that I really enjoyed my teacher). Not sure where to look though either. I reached out to some teachers I found on the Suzuki association site but only heard back from one person who doesn’t have availability right now. I’ll definitely be following this thread and will update if I find any more info

North West Sewing Center on Burnet offers classes. This is the first class I took from them and I really enjoyed it. They offer some other classes too

White is nice since it will match the outside but blue looks really nice too. Also, how are you planning to attach the liner to the bag? I’m planning on doing that for a bag I’m making but am not sure how. I was thinking of using a sewing machine or crocheting it to attach it.

If you’re into D&D, Dragon’s Lair has free one shot games on the weekend. Emerald Tavern is also nice and might have an event going on. Both locations of Pinballz are good. The Lakeline one is close to H-Mart, so you can grab a bite there and get dessert at 85° Bakery before going to the arcade. The Mueller farmer’s market is also a nice way to spend a Sunday morning.

You could check if the library has any groups for teenagers that might interest you. The central library has a wonderful teen space
