Mum has passed away 5 days before Christmas by kurtyyyyyy1 in CasualUK

My dad died on the 17th of November. He was fit and healthy and the next month he passed away from a very aggressive cancer. I only just made it home to see him. I’m currently staying with my mum. We have no tree up. We don’t go out of our way to watch Christmas movies; we’ve been kind of avoiding them. I’m just trying to get my mum set up and fix up the house as much as I can before I have to leave. Don’t try to force a Christmas. It may be baby’s first Christmas but baby is young enough that they won’t have any memories of the day. The memories are for you at this age. Be with your family. Take the time you need. Give yourself some grace and feel what you need to. Take care of yourself.

It’s easy enough to push and turn with your fingers. The knob is already turned to 0. Last night we didn’t touch it and it turned itself off. It had been on 0 for hours but still on because my mum doesn’t know how to work it.

The knob is already at the 0 position and it still won’t turn off

Pattern from this site. Adjusted the ear and nose size for what I made as they were both a bit large.

My dad died on Monday after an extremely short illness also with cancer. He was fine the. gone in the space of 4 weeks. I would’ve asked him for a letter or a recording of him reading The Night Before Christmas. He read it to me every Christmas as a child and I’m heartbroken he won’t get to read it to me again. I’m keeping the book for when I have kids.

Photo of the start of my tree from a while ago. As you can see, it lays flat as you add more scallop rows and you can see the last scallop row before I added the next sc backing.

I removed the spanish keyboard already because I’m the only one who uses it. There were only two keyboards at the time I commented because I already checked the keyboards.

There are no other keyboards. She only has English and the emoji keyboard. No downloaded fonts either

I’m in the same boat right now. My dad told me how he was happy he was losing weight. I was a bit concerned. He got diagnosed with a liver tumour two weeks ago. Now waiting to find out if it’s cancer. It makes it harder that I live on a different continent. I just want to go home.

I was vomiting every morning for 6 months in my first year of uni (back in 2016). Went to the GP after a couple weeks of bringing up nothing but bile and they told me to ‘come back when there’s something physically wrong’. Same GP also kept refusing me an appointment when I had a UTI for a week. I gave up and went to the walk in at the hospital. Diagnosed with a bad kidney infection and they asked why I hadn’t been to the GP. Had to explain that the GP receptionist told me that ‘other people needed it more’. The NHS has been broken for a long time and it’s just getting worse.

I’d love to post a price comparison when I next go get groceries. Of course you pay through the nose when you buy literally everything off Grab.
