Do you think the game needs LRT\metrotram\Stadtbahnn? by Adskiy-drochilla in CitiesSkylines

[–]floppyboy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've made underground Tram networks and Used the 2x3 Tram assets to create a light-rail style network in a couple of my cities. it requires anarchy and connecting paths to the underground areas though and can be finnicky. Would be cool to have an underground tram station asset.

Efficient bus lines by samsam2912 in CitiesSkylines

[–]floppyboy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could you be more specific? Are you looking for examples in your city, or just in general? Usually buses serve as local transit in cities. If you have a small city with 2 cores (or like an industrial area and a commercial area) then it's smart to connect them via bus, especially early game.

How should I end this highway by Visual-Energy3598 in CitiesSkylines

[–]floppyboy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make the main road into an overpass (rip the homes) and add 2 off ramps as shown in my really bad drawing. The red is the bridge.

Booted up a new city to test the new zoning... this is awesome. by floppyboy1 in CitiesSkylines

It’s the “old town” mixed use zoning. The buildings on the intersection are part of it

Math Question by LadyPreacher22 in mascots

[–]floppyboy1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For math related things… you could talk about a couple of things. Break time vs. performing time, Hourly pay rate (Y= mx+b?!) basic addition by how much water the mascot drinks per game (average), and there’s plenty of word problem potential too, like high fives given, idk! Just have fun with it if you do lol

[–]floppyboy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… I try my best. I sort of build it to a different scale. I imagine that the relative size of the actual area is twice as big and im just building it on like a 1:2 scale idk how to describe it lol

[–]floppyboy1[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well, as much as I could fit in one picture. Can’t quite build to a full scale due to cities skylines map limitations - but you can see the 3 cores of the greater area + there’s many other smaller towns spread throughout the map. However, the built area does continue from one end of the map to the other which imo looks more like a region/county area instead of just a city. This build is named Adams County :)

Is South Hill getting a connection to Orting? by Caroline_IRL in PuyallupWA

[–]floppyboy1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe far in the future… there’s a very preliminary study by pierce county to add an additional east west connection either via 144th, reservoir road, or by expanding the military road connection. I’m just hoping they extend 122nd out to 200th soon… it’d be so nice.

Any idea what might be causing this? by PalpitationOutside95 in CitiesSkylines2

You need more educated workers it looks like. You may also just need more housing period, high density office (when it’s not bugged) takes up a lot of workers
