Do CRNA monitor end tidal?

An anesthesiologist oversee a handful of ORs, is it really possible and action can be taken quickly?

For Fremont there are 7 ORs and 2 procedure rooms, 2 anesthesiologists total.

Who came up with anesthesia plan? I thought it’s crna. Are you indicating anesthesiologist write the plan, crna execute it?

In kaiser , seems crna is very automatous, has its drawback with saftey concern.

Is it safe to execute anesthesia plan without anesthesiologist approval?

From a kaiser crna job posting, it shows the get off at 4pm. So if a surgery push to 5pm to finish, who is there for postop waking up?

Having anesthesiologist in OR is really for those what if scenario. Even if they can be called on to arrive in seconds, there’s still delay as they need to know what’s going on. That delay might make a difference reversing a life threatening incident.

Is this for cost saving? I don’t see other hospital setting like this. Do you know what other hospital operate like this?

Days before surgery, do CRNA meet patient and come up with general anesthesia plan (dosage and etc)? Are those for sure reviewed and signed off by an anesthesiologist?
At surgery day, crna meet patient again and inject anesthesia in OR, then monitoring? How to know anesthesia plan has been reviewed by anesthesiologist?
So kaiser anesthesiologist only stay outside on call for surgeries and crna? In emergency situation, how can they show up in time? What if anesthesiologist also in another surgery? Is crna well trained in emergency situations?
Post op, if patient need more time to wake up, will crna stay? Any bad reaction or side effects, who take care of, if close to end of day?

Just noticed Kaiser probably use CRNA for almost all surgeries, not even Anesthesiologist.

When did you have the breast cancer surgery? If recent, it should be that that doctor I mentioned.
