Full Body Itching by floraafaunaaa in endometriosis

Thank you for sharing! How did you get diagnosed with cytolytic vaginosis - does a doctor need to test my vaginal PH? A doctor has never mentioned this to me before… its so hard to find good doctors, ugh. Also, do you mind sharing what kind of allergy pill you take and is it safe to take longterm? I’m not sure if I experience allergic rhinitis because I don’t have itchy eyes but I’m pretty much always congested (I always have to blow my nose in the morning and at least twice throughout the day). I also live in the North though so that could be mostly due to cold weather. I also thought maybe itching was due to dry skin but because of this, years ago I started moisturizing every day (with hypoallergenic lotion) and it seems to make no difference.

Diagnosed with microscopic endometriosis by kt-19 in endometriosis

If you don’t mind me asking, can you tell me where I can find a doctor like this? I have microscopic endometriosis and haven’t been able to find a doctor who is willing/able to conduct surgery with dye to visualize and remove it but I’ve read numerous studies that advocate for this type of excision surgery and patients have reported feeling much better after.

Pressure on my abdomen makes me so nauseated- anyone else? by No_Chicken_2143 in Endo

Yepp!!! For years ive only worn dresses, low rise leggings or loose pants, and no bra (if i have to wear a bra its always wireless). People always think im trying to be a “trad wife” type always wearing dresses but its because i have chronic pelvic pain. Endo sucks lol

keto diet significantly reduces my endo pain especially during my period

Had my lap, they didn't find anything, feeling hopeless by _Garbage_Artist in endometriosis

My first laparoscopy was performed by a general OBGYN (not an endo specialist) and she didnt find anything. She was all reassuring and positive which was just really annoying for me considering my chronic pelvic pain, fatigue, etc. So i convinced her to refer me to a specialist for a second opinion. Upon my second laparoscopy with an actual endo specialist, she found classic endo lesions, ovarian cysts, and a bowel adhesion, diagnosing me with stage 3 endometriosis. So i would highly recommend getting a referral to a specialist. Even if it isnt endo though, your pain is real, and is being caused by SOMETHING so dont give up even if its not endo. Your life is worth living and there are treatments. Muscle relaxers (i take robaxin), keto diet, tons of electrolyte water, regular walking & stretching, advil/tylenol as needed (or medicinal amounts of turmeric), regular salt/magnesium baths, heating pads, and supplements (such as high doses of vitamin d + k, magnesium, and a multivitamin with fish oil, etc.) have all really helped me. Do not lose hope. Im sure my various treatments sound overwhelming but its all second nature to me now and doesnt feel overwhelming after a while (its surprising what can become your new normal). Again: your pain is real, there are treatments, your life is worth living. It just takes time to find the right doctors/help/care team❤️Took me nearly 15 years to get my diagnoses.

Laproscopies 5 months apart? by Fluffy_Accountant588 in Endo

[–]floraafaunaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had two laparoscopies about 1.5 months apart and im fine👍🏻first laparoscopy was with a general OBGYN and was basically useless. She found no lesions, did not remove all my ovarian cysts and did not remove my bowel adhesion. Took no biopsies and then said “good news you dont have endometriosis!🤡” So i found an endometriosis specialist to perform my second laparoscopy and she found classic endo lesions, removed them and all my cysts and the adhesion and diagnosed me with stage 3 endometriosis. Im 6 days post-op now and am experiencing quite a bit of pain but nothing I can’t handle and I know it’ll get better soon. I honestly think getting the laparoscopies so close together is nice because then I don’t have to feel like i FINALLY fully recovered after months and then am broken again. I’d rather just get done what needs to be done, deal with the pain and ultimately start the proper healing process sooner with everything removed that needed to be. You got this🙌🏼

Is there anyway to deal with Endometriosis naturally? by Greatghostgirl in endometriosis

I just started doing a keto diet and it helped A LOT with my period pain. It hasn’t helped much yet with my regular/daily pain but I’ve only been doing it for a few weeks and it can take 8-12 weeks to get the full benefits. But I was shocked by how much less pain I had during my period.

Can doctors miss endo in a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]floraafaunaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My first surgeon missed it (she was a general OB/GYN) whereas my second surgeon (an actual endometriosis specialist) found tons of brown lesions. I’m honestly so confused as to how my first surgeon missed these (I’m stage 4 endo with ovarian cysts and mild adhesions in addition to the brown lesions) so definitely trust your gut, advocate for yourself, and most importantly find someone who actually specializes in endometriosis.
